    Battery damaged

Update: USAA adjuster looked over the car this morning and came up with an estimate that was only a few dollars different than Tesla's. I'm going to authorize the work so I can get on with life.

Tesla area not giving any indication that they're obligated to do this. Seems like my only option would be to take the car.

    Battery damaged

Good Morning Everyone, Adam at the Rockville, MD Service Center was kind enough to send two undercarriage photos. From what I understand, what you're looking at (below) is a replaceable plastic coolant connector. In my case, it appears to be damaged - but apparently the battery-side fitting is...

No further update today. Still waiting on the service center for photos and core charge information.

Funny you should mention a skid plate. My first impression when I peered under the car at the leak was that the leading edge of the pack was more vulnerable and had less protection than the flat underside, which has a beefy plate. I completely understand the first-post skepticism. But let me be clear to anyone reading this: Despite what I am going through right now, I still very much consider this car to be the best car i've ever owned - and by no small margin. I have no intention of spreading FUD - quite the opposite -...

    Battery damaged

I didn't take any pictures of the curb stop - had no idea I might need them. Figured this would be an out-of-pocket repair. Not much to see on the underside of the car. Slight damage to the cover on the underside between front wheels. Blue fluid leaking out.

    Battery damaged

Ran over a parking lot curb stop. Internal hose damaged and not serviceable. $15,000. Terrible mistake, but wasn't a big curb, didn't even touch bumper valance. Stunned.
