This thread is for the general discussion of the marketplace listing 2015 Model S 85D MSM/Black - Loaded, 72k, FUS, MCU2, New displays, Excellent. Please add to the discussion here.
Greysie is a 2015 S85D in excellent condition. We just bought a 2020 S LRP, so putting this one up for sale.
We bought it as Tesla CPO w/ 15k in 2019. Have title in hand.
Quiet, no mechanical issues. A couple of door dings and minor chips/scratches, minimal wheel rash.
I recently bought a...
Funny, I just came back from looking at a 2022 MSP 21" with 15k miles on it. The SOC was 79 miles @ 25%. Is it still valid to extrapolate this to 316 miles @ 100%? I was pretty surprised to see that low a number, but just got on the Tesla site and see they show 320 miles with 21" tires. What...
Just spotted this one while picking up some Pho from a place in the shopping center. Now I know why his prices are so high; he must think Tesla drivers are loaded! 🤑 Was excited to have a place close enough to occasionally charge our S85 for free while getting some grub.
They offered me $500 for MCU2 when I scheduled my eMMC recall. I was going to get LTE, so it was a no brainer to take the deal. Tried to get a deal on the radio upgrade too, but no bite on that.
I keep reading this and can't figure out how you reach that conclusion.
A: Some number of Tesla Model S vehicles have burned without any apparent external source of heat.
Do you disagree?
B: They released software to prevent condition X, which has never occurred, and adjust for condition Z...
Ideally both top and bottom, right? To get the maximum power into the battery and then get it all back out, hitting 0 with all modules essentially "empty" at whatever the minimum power limit is.
Following on that part of my comment, it speaks to @David99 pointing out the differences between module/cell degradation and chargegate. With a capped pack the goal of charging may still be to put as much power into the pack as possible, but a different limitation besides module differences has...
Really interesting observation. Glad you tracked it. You seem to have a group of modules contributing. I have a single module that has reached a peak of ~14mV delta, so not crazy, but still stands out. I'll do a similar test to see if the imbalance reduces due to usage.
It makes sense for...
Sure looks like a voltage cap to me. If the cap is indirect through some other capping mechanism it's still specific enough to be quantified as a voltage cap.
Am I confused? Your Raven has a 100kWh battery, right? Those are not known to be affected by charge limiting or extra battery cooling, or yours would be the first known report. The other cars are affected by the 2019.16 or later changes for 85kWh and smaller batteries. The fan behavior is...
I summarized what I could find a while back, excluding collisions.
I don't have any info on conclusions for the two fires reported this year, but neither appear to be related to a collision. I can update if anyone has info.
When I researched before buying I mostly focused on mileage. Could the battery survive delivering the kind of mileage you see on high quality ICE vehicles, such as Toyota, so at least providing some return for the elevated cost. There was plenty of evidence they could and the fact even very...
