255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

I’m considering buying CrossClimate2 on 245/45/20 to replace OE Goodyear’s. Issue is wheel width requirements. Michelin and Tire Rack states that this size is for 7.5-9” rim width. The problem is the induction rim is 9.5” wide. Will this create issues?

    Upgrading 20" OEM Tire...Fitment Question

Thank you. At 70mph, the new tire would read about 1.8mph according to tiresize.com. Regarding the wheel rim width, this presents no issue at all with stretching the tire too far beyond what it listed as recommended rim width of 7.5-9"? When the induction wheel is 9.5"

    Upgrading 20" OEM Tire...Fitment Question

Time to upgrade the stock (and poor treadlife) Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 "All-Season" Proposing upgrading to Michelin CrossClimate2 with great reviews, treadlife, and all weather capability. The closest size available is 245/45/20 The Induction Wheel is listed at 9.5" width, however the...

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

Unfortunately my replacement is now having the exact same behavior as my original. Same overheating error with 3 red blinks, continues to charge at 24A/6kWh after approximately one hour of sustained charging at 48A. Happens every evening now. Wife usually comes home with 55-60% SOC from 90%...

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

Just an update. I already have a replacement from Tesla and I am still having the overheating protection kick in then ramp down to 24A. Granted, it is not happening as often such as every night, but about 1 in 3 days our nightly charging session will have the same error as everyone else is...

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

By "plug connection point" you mean the charging handle that plugs into the charge port on the car? Good to find out the actual root cause. It's what I suspected. For some reason in the firmware, the unit is getting overheating alerts when it's really within it's normal thermal limits for full 48A

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

Just wanted to let you know I went through this exact issue. Charging team already sent me a replacement and I returned the defective one via FedEx but the replacement is having the exact same behavior. Has firmware 0.8.58 which was updated from 0.8.4 out of the box. Interestingly, last night...

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

It's either hardware or a bricked piece of firmware. I'm running on 0.8.58 after an update from 0.8.4 and the same issue. But my replacement WC from Tesla had the same behavior. It's weird because the unit had been behaving just fine from late June into July 6.

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

I thought being under torqued caused overheating? Anyway, here is how I re torqued the replacement WC. I torqued them until it was hand tight, Don't have a torque wrench to do exactly 50lb ft per the manual. Is this proper?

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

Just wanted to let you guys know I got my replacement WC delivered Thursday and hooked it up. Charged perfectly fine Thursday evening from 55% to 90% at 48A sustained about 2.5-3 hours worth. No problems. Charged last night for about 2 hours and got the exact same overheating red blink as the...

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

Having the exact same issue as you. Tesla pulled charging logs and determined a defective unit. I'm ok the latest firmware as well. New unit will be here tomorrow and FedEx return the current one. Exact same behavior as you. Tried everything rebooting breaker flip, etc

Gen 3 Charger - goes to 17KW then back to 0

Firmware is supposed to be automatically updated as long as it's connected to the internet. I've gotten new firmware but still having the issue. 0.8.58

Gen 3 Charger - goes to 17KW then back to 0

Rebooted it multiple times. Soft method and hard method with the brake pedal. Flipped the circuit breakers and everything else ei could try. The Tesla charging team is reviewing logs and may just send a replacement.

Gen 3 Charger - goes to 17KW then back to 0

I'm having this same issue of ramping to 16/17A then back to zero and repeating. Also getting three red blinks high temperature detected every night since 7/6 after about an hour of charging at 48A. At that time, it drops to 24A half speed with overheating red blinks. Had Tesla pull charging...

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

I continue to get overheating 3 red blinks errors after less than an hour of charging. The car ramps to about 16A/17A then goes all the way down to 0 and repeats the same process over and over again. I've tried turning on and off the breaker. I've done a hard reset of the vehicle by holding down...
