    Bay Area to Mammoth Lakes?

I did this in an 85D with 21s over the 4th. I charged to 99% in Manteca and for about an hour at the Groveland Hotel, but I could have made it on "fumes" to the supercharger in Mammoth.

Manteca, CA to Mamoth Lakes, CA (new)

I'm sitting on the back patio of the Groveland Hotel as I type. I "probably" could have made it, but it would have been close.

Manteca, CA to Mamoth Lakes, CA (new)

Has anyone made the trip recently in a 85D? I'm leaving for Mammoth tomorrow and I would like to fill up to 100% in Manteca and not stop to top off. It seems like it should be doable, but I'm not sure how much of a range hit the elevation change will have.

Just saw delivery estimate go from Nov to Jan!

This is strange. Mine still shows Late November-December. Our cars are only about 500 vin numbers apart, and they both entered production on 11/16. My specs are 85D, silver, pano, 19s, black next-gen, black headliner, premium interior, piano black, SAS, and AP. Someone with a delay should...

Just saw delivery estimate go from Nov to Jan!

I just checked on mine. I ordered on 10.30 and it went into production on 11.16. Mine still says delivery late November-December, but I'm picking mine up at the factory. My vin is 116197.

Picking up my 85D in 3 hours! Can I get a few glances at these lease details?

It doesn't work that way. Yes, he's paying 8.2% of the MSRP in rent charge, but that's not the same as an 8.2% APR loan. Ask Tesla what the money factor is and then plug that into one of the online tools to convert it to an interest percentage. For a variety of reason I would only put down the...

Sales tax incentive for California EV buyers

I've been looking for information on this as well. If this passes it looks like I could save around $4,000. I wonder if the $2,500 rebate would still apply?

Could this be a Tesla Model X Event Rather than Apple?

If it's an Apple event my guess is that it's a Dr. Dre concert to promote Apple Music, the new iPhone, Beats, and his new album/movie. Could be two or three nights with different guests from the album showing up.

Supercharger - Mountain View, CA (12 V2 stalls)

I would love to see an SC in SF proper. This is the last piece of the puzzle I'm waiting for before I pull the trigger. I live in a building built in the 30's and share my garage with 4 other cars. Installing a power line to charge the MS is not an option for me, and I'll rely on SCs and other...

Has the ground clearance of the air suspension been reduced?

Unfortunately, there is no chance city would be willing to do this, and I doubt I would be willing to pay the cost for a car. I did find this poster who had a similar problem. I wonder how difficult it would be to make something similar. I would also need to figure out how to semi-permanently...

Has the ground clearance of the air suspension been reduced?

Thanks. I looked into devices like this, but the problem is not with the curb cut or the sidewalk. It occurs at the transition from the sidewalk to the garage. The sidewalk is basically flat and the garage parking area is probably 15ish feet below the sidewalk, essentially in the basement of the...

Has the ground clearance of the air suspension been reduced?

My current car is a newer Audi allroad. The wheelbase is listed as 110.4 inches and the ground clearance is 7.1 inches. The Model S has a wheelbase of 116.5 and the ground clearance with the air suspension is either 6.4 or 7.3 inches. I tried most makes of sporty sedans, S4, M cars, Ghibli...

Has the ground clearance of the air suspension been reduced?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I share the driveway with others who probably don't share the same concern about the ground clearance of the Tesla. I live in SF, and while steep, my driveway is far from extraordinary. There are others in my neighborhood that I can't even imagine how someone gets...

Has the ground clearance of the air suspension been reduced?

I was all set to order a Model S but I needed to make sure it would make it down and up my driveway. My current car, which has no problems with the driveway, has a ground clearance of 7.1 inches, and I recall when looking into this last year that the Model S with air suspension had a ground...

If you live in Illinois and are looking for a good deal on a inventory Model S.....

I was at a store today and was told inventory cars are discounted $1/mile driven plus 2% for each month the car has been in service. They had a ton in the database. S85s looked to discounted from 10-20k depending on options and mileage. The 2% discount was bumped up from 1% because they don't...
