Two J1772 charging issues: EVSE schedule and sharing.

yes thanks as i have explained i am already doing it . Exactly, when it sleeps, it won't charge on EVSE's schedule, which i believe makes the car not fully compliant with J1772 spec in a sense that car should transition to state C if it needs to charge, in response to proper positive pilot...

Two J1772 charging issues: EVSE schedule and sharing.

Hi, #1. When charging on EVSE with internal schedule due to time of day variable rates, M3 does not wake up once EVSE starts advertising. No other J1772 car i have or had had trouble following J1772 pilot signal regardless of when it transitions. My problem is that since i am charging two...

Corrupt video files in Sentry Mode

same thing here. a lot of corrupted "left repeater" files specifically. No OS corruption though as before noted. It is either files are not entirely flushed, or some encoder compatibility issues.

Feedback from BMW or other premium brand converts?

Just an opinion, so take it for what it is. I will believe it when i see it. The problem is not model design,or new auto lines, or even the fact that these manufacturers just have to cut corners on EVs to protect their still existing ICE business in some way. The problem is battery supply...

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

yes i did. i did not receive any email receipt of the transaction or changes in online car profile, but the AP was enabled some time mid day the next day of the charge. 4 days sounds like more than it should have taken.

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

i ordered one for 2k too, and i was (am) critical of it too. Subjectively it felt like it handled 580 curves better today than during my month long trial. Not sure, maybe too few miles yet, or maybe cameras are better calibrated now... Anyhow it seems that 2k version is not the same as the 5k...

Reduced price Autopilot & FSD for existing owners announced March 1st

I think we start seeing a weak spot of Tesla direct sales. I was asked a 3 to 5k markup over MSRP for a first year model of other car in different places. A year later i got it for 1.5k below the invoice. People who bought first, did not care. Tesla does the same, except now that the info is...

All I can do is just laugh

same happens to me during rain. Only it is water... But i like the lines. Also probably necessary for drag. Something's gotta give.

    SGIP program in California

I would assume sgip should be going (to the degree it can go anywhere outside PGE anyway) because the funding is the state's money really, not utility's. And especially since the money is already preallocated at some point early in the application process. I guess worst case SGIP will lay off...

    PGE EV-A rate slashed

Hm. 2018 Uconnect module really seems to have been less reliable than 17 in general. In many ways '18 seems to be more of a "first year model' than 17 :) BTW i owned a house in PH area for 10 years before moving to mid bay ten years ago

    PGE EV-A rate slashed

you mean something is wrong with it? i never put it on a schedule, instead i have put the schedule into the hydra evse.. Ours was pretty problem free, surprisingly, given how many issues '17s and '18s seem to have had (knock on wood..). the sliding doors started to creak after 15k a bit but i...

    PGE EV-A rate slashed

i have two evs (one of which is a minivan) and 2x pw2s to shift the house. Although i don't have a regular commute, we do put around 25k miles on the cars. I consume about a little over 1mwh/mo for the cars and the house. all costs around $150/mo, 100% at off-peak rate ~$0.125/kwh (i have 0...

Your comments on Elon's letter to Tesla employees

I've always thought something smells about the company talking about sustainable transportation as their primary motto, and then taking its sweeeet time designing falcon doors on an suv which is not even that much either of a sport or utility, yet sets an average citizen back 2.5 to 3 years of...
