    DIY MS Door Handle Repair

Great info in this thread! I've installed the EV Tuning upgrade harness / microswitches, but the handle doesn't work still. Does not present, and does not open the door when pulled. I disassembled the door handle again, reinstalled everything, the paddle gear, original one, wasn't broken, to...

Brembo caliper connection lines - where can I buy?

Thanks for the advice! Making my own is tempting, it doesn't seem hard to do . I guess I'm at a point in my life where I'm tired of DIY mechanical work (I have an AE86 too) - I rather put in some extra effort at work. and pay for bolt on parts, or pay others to do it. If only I had a warm...

Brembo caliper connection lines - where can I buy?

.... and now I sent a request to cancel, that company manufacture their own Model S calipers - the crossover tubes are probably for those.

Brembo caliper connection lines - where can I buy?

I need the U-shaped "crossover line" (hard line) that goes from the first two pistons to the other two - On the same caliper. Original caliper (not mine): I just placed an order for these: Caliper Crossover Tubes (1 left & 1 right) For EVO 8/9, STi, CamaroSS, CTSV, Tesla 4 Pot Front Calipers...

Brembo caliper connection lines - where can I buy?

My brake caliper connection lines have rusted again. My car is now out of warranty, and Tesla quote USD 1.150 for 2 of these shipped to my door (!!). These lines sell for USD 50 or so from parts-stores, but I've searched and cannot seem to find the right ones. I wish I had a local shop that can...

Vendor How to PROPERLY care for your Leather Interior

When I got the car the leather seats were really dry, hard, pale, didn't look like leather at all but some fake leather of some sort. I got some Lexol 3-in-1 leather care on and the seats look and feel a lot better, but I suspect Tesla haven't used the best leather. There are pics on this forum...

My Model S 85 fully wrapped, pictures from the process...

That's impressive work! I was planning to wrap my car as well, and chose the solid black paintjob. I regret that now since I'm not going ahead with the wrap (yet), and now have to care for this horribly soft paint every week. To me Tesla really haven't provided us with any nice color choices...

Pulled the ABS fuse last evening

Is pulling the ABS-fuse the only way to disable stability control? When driving on snow the SC is really annoying, as I like to have a little bit of a tail out now and then, even during everyday driving. But I don't want to disable ABS, brake assist, and power steering..... In my dreams I see a...

    Hypermiling in the Cold

Great info for us living way up north! I'm picking up my car next month and I want to really stretch it the very first day: Go 385 km before charging, in about -5 deg C. Could I possibly make it if I average 70 kmh? According to JurassicTest my route has a few elevation changes as well, and...

    Winter tire recommendations

I'm trying to figure out if I can use the stock all-seasons Goodyear Eagle RS-A2's to get me home when I get my car. It will be late november, in northern Norway, and I have a 720km trip to get home. After reading this thread: FE5 19 All-Season Tire Package: How would you rate the Goodyear...

Pics: Model S w/ Lightweight Aftermarket Wheels

Reviving this to get some more pics! I want to see more 20"s. 22"s is NOT an option for me :) So to whoever posted in this thread before, you have to show us how your wheel choice turned out.

Offset for aftermarket wheels? (10.5" rears)

I agree that the info on the Vossen CV1's is useful. From what I recall those wheels are like follows (disregarding the change in wheel diameter and tyre choices): 22x9 et30 = Wheel is 16,35mm further out towards fender lip, and you gain 3,75 mm between the suspension arm and wheel (compared to...

First Tesla With New HRE P101s!

Clearly not the same wheels, but something P40SC'ish :) Thanks for any pics with aftermarket wheels, though...

Evolution of the rear jump seats - Tesla goes cheap?

I also was very very disappointed when I saw that pic of the cloth seats. Looks cheaper than cheap, and I even wrote to Tesla demanding that I get the US-type seats with the pleather sides. But I've heard arguments that the rollbar-type headrest probably isn't very safe, and that the pleather...

    Rear jump seats

First the headliner, then the foglights and LED's, and now this! That's it, I'm cancelling! (unless someone in the US wants to switch jumpseats with me.........)
