    Huge Model S software glitch...

The ability to update is a blessing and a curse. How many other car companies continue to push free upgrades to customers for years after purchase? Most traditional car dealers will charge you $500 just to update the maps in your GPS system after you drive off the lot. I’m not a Tesla...

    Huge Model S software glitch...

After multiple calls and messages with Tesla Service and 2 days of troubleshooting, the car is back to “normal”. They had to push a new “update”. I’m assuming it was to repartition the navigation sectors on the cars hard drive because the maps would not re-install over WiFi. They did confirm...

    Huge Model S software glitch...

Because I don't carry a garage door opener any more? Thanks for being a smartass.

    Huge Model S software glitch...

Until a few hours ago, the reset was simply rebooting the system. Not anymore, apparently.

    Huge Model S software glitch...

My MCU2 SiriusXM was not working tonight so I tried to reset the system using the buttons on the steering wheel. Bad idea. Some new glitch in the software caused that to do a full FACTORY reset. I lost all my settings, data, etc. I can’t even pull my car into the garage tonight because I...

Fascinating YouTube videos disassembling Tesla Motor and Electronics...

This is a fascinating video series where a professor of Automotive Engineering at Weber St. University dissects the rear drive unit and power system of a Tesla Model S. The videos are long, but very detailed and useful to understand how Tesla's actually work...

New Toyo Tires on my MS

I just got the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S tires on my 2017 P100D Model S with square 245 x 21” wheels. Love them so far. I had cheap Nankangs before and they only lasted 1 yr. Much quieter and a much smoother ride so far. Highly recommend.

Upgraded MCU1 to MCU2 - Are you experiencing New Problems?

Center console USB ports won't work (I think they forgot to plug them in) and I can't sign in to YouTube because I get a "insecure browser" warning. Other than that it's working great.

    MCU2 + trash cans...

Since completing it would have required driving in every one of my neighbors' yards, I deferred to opportunity.

    MCU2 + trash cans...

Tesla has included rendered trash bins in their visualizations with the MCU2 upgrade. Seems kind of silly. Today was trash day and my center display looked like a slalom course.

    Small Screen Font on UI

If you go to Tesla support and get to their chat feature complaining about the small font size, the comments will be escalated to engineering. The chat rep said they are getting lots of complaints about it, so hopefully a fix will be forthcoming. Also, it makes no sense to move the gear...
