The Pearl and Base White have a white primer, all other colors are a medium/dark gray prime. Signature Red used to have a red prime on the Model...

The colors for X will be exactly the same as S.
The demand for S is diminished. They can't build the X bc the new paint shop is not ready. Even if it was, the new body shop is not ready...

Midnight Silver is what they have renamed the "new Gray" that replaced the "old Tiburon/Dolphin Gray". It's not a new color, just a new name.
Maybe up front, but all of the people that actually make the car were in there working, be it body, paint, assembly, etc. They were building cars...
Not sure if it means anything or not, but they don't have the whole factory working Saturdays this quarter up to the end as they have previously.
Not sure why they need the new paint shop to run new colors - they have run 10 colors in the past and are currently only at 7 in production now,...

Maybe the upgrade is why they increased the price of Silver, Gray and Blue from $750 to $1000 a couple weeks ago, gotta pay for the new paint shop...
very true - I should have clarified I was referring to the color options in the 1000's range
usually the common theme for range of color selection depends on hand built/painted vs going through an automated line using high-volume paint...
