    Supercharger - Park City, UT

Although it looks like Tesla's not going to meet their target of opening a Park City Supercharger by the end of 2018, there are other options for people wanting to stay in Park City. We've outfitted the garage in our town home (near Kimball Jct) with a NEMA 14-50 plug and a ChargePoint 240 V /...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

The supercharger map for the San Diego region shows the placement of the ten new locations.

AutoPilot - note to drivers and Consumer Reports

Thanks so much for writing this and everything else in your post. I think we all know that the vast majority of Tesla owners are responsibly using and benefiting from Autopilot. As many owners have posted here on TMC, Autopilot plus an attentive driver is better than a driver without Autopilot...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

I ran across this comment about the Tesla driver from one of his close friends that makes it seem likely that if there was audio playing in the car after it came to rest, it was most likely a movie sound track: Tesla elaborates on Autopilot’s automatic emergency braking - Driver's Friend's Comment

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

The Tesla AP system gives very good feedback to the driver. It clearly indicates on the dash display whether it is sensing one or both lane markers. It also indicates whether it is sensing the presence of an additional lane to the left and/or the right. If the system completely loses lane...

    Fatal autopilot crash, NHTSA investigating...

The folks who have suggested that Tesla should modify their AEB and/or TACC so that it is more cautious and potentially results in more false positives leading to slowing or braking when it's not needed are not thinking it through. If the system did this it would not only become dangerous, but...

    Panoramic roof and D question

One other benefit of the Pano roof is that anything that lands on the roof is much less likely to etch a permanent spot than it would on a painted surface. You see lots of cars that have water spots, bug, or bird dropping spots on the roof, but those things won't affect the glass at all. I've...

Solution to charge your Model 3 if you don't have any garage?

Interesting. Many places it's illegal to park in front of a driveway, even if it's your own. Also, the cord is a potential trip hazard to pedestrians. I see lots of possible problems with this approach (sorry!). I would imagine that a better solution would be to have a trench in the sidewalk...

    Wiki Model 3 Reservation Tally

I also think there are a lot of people taking the wait and see approach. I know one guy who went, checkbook in hand, to a store to reserve on 3/31, but then left when he saw the line. He says he's been thinking about reserving, but since there are already so many reservations he's going to wait...

    Tax Credit Clarification

...Runs out and looks in his car... You are absolutely correct! I didn't know that 12 V port was there, but it's definitely there in mine also. It's not really very visible when sitting in either of the front seats so I guess I just never noticed it. Thanks for letting me know!:)

RWD Model 3 acceleration vs <$40k entry luxury sedans

In order to get the 0-60 time quoted in a car mag. for an ICE car when starting from a stop light, you would have to have the accelerator floored (engine roaring) and your other foot on the brake BEFORE the light turns green. If you wait until the light turns green and then stomp the...

Would You Prefer A Solid Roof?

No, I would prefer the glass roof. People who sit in the rear seat of our Model S often comment about the feeling of spaciousness due to the glass roof. Also, with the heat-reflecting and anti-UV coatings used on the glass, we haven't really noticed any discomfort. If you check, you'll discover...

    Tax Credit Clarification

I hadn't thought of all that. Very well said.

    Tax Credit Clarification

A minor point - I don't think there's ever been a cigarette lighter in a Tesla, but there are USB ports you can draw power from.:) It doesn't fundamentally change your point though.

Question about EV Value and environmental impact

You make a really good point. Also, if Tesla adds the feature that lets people program their charging schedule based on departure time, rather than start time (this is one of the commonly requested features for the Model S), it drastically reduces the likelihood that a lot of EVs will start...
