snow chains for model X, asap?

=84738&hash=f09b72d887da0d871987aee89c19ad4c']Attach files Hi, all, I found the z-579's should fit well and attaching some photos of them on the front wheel (DON'T DO IT)....definitely not enough clearance to the suspension and line there. Also on the rear wheel, where there does appear to be...

model x falcon wing door roof glass cracked :(...

The sensor failed us this time and falcon wing door on driver side hit a shelf hanging from the garage ceiling. How would you all deal with this? Seems beyond glass repair. One fine crack extends about 8-10 inches. I did find the part Tesla Model X Falcon Roof Door Glass Rear Left Driver Side...

    10,000 miles in a Model 3 (nearly) - Review

Xopher my commute is very similar but in USA. Often 150 miles a day. I have a mid range. Totally agree with all your comments! I added a bit of door insulation and that has helped some. I've 25k miles since 12/2018 purchase and had to replace rear tires (got cheap $65 tires though :)). Car has...

Who has solar power at their home? Please chime in....

In San Diego we have net metering and time of use plans available. We charge our teslas at super off peak midnight to 6am and are on a TOU plan that only charges us $0.09/kWh during those hours. Peak rates in summer 4p-9p are over 4x that cost and winter peak and off peak times are about 3x the...

Free unlimited supercharging vs (paying for) installing charger at home...

If you own (not rent) your home I'd encourage you to get some quotes for just maybe a 30 amp (or higher) 240 volt "dryer plug" type outlet. Ask around with friends any electricians they've used that they liked and call them and ask if they do any side jobs. We had ours installed for like $400...

New DIY Rubber Rim Bumpers: inexpensive but superior protection for your rims

Well, this didn't work out for me. After 2 days of just driving around town the glue started failing and the rubber was detaching. Anyway - not a huge deal, I just pulled it off (easily). There's glue residue visible, but it's not obvious from a few feet away and I expect will disappear over...

New DIY Rubber Rim Bumpers: inexpensive but superior protection for your rims

I figure that'll wear off eventually, but for now just touching it up with a Sharpie made a big difference: Here's a shot a few feet away of the finished product...can't really see the extra dried glue and bits of duct tape innards. Here's a wheel I haven't touched yet for comparison...

New DIY Rubber Rim Bumpers: inexpensive but superior protection for your rims

OK, got it done. Yeah, once I carefully cleaned the tire/rim and rubber, and cut the 4 strips as precisely as I could, I got the rubber glued on. Here it is drying. This was the area I saw had a bit of a gap while waiting for the glue to dry. I was more liberal with the glue than...

New DIY Rubber Rim Bumpers: inexpensive but superior protection for your rims

I just applied this pretty much exactly per artsci's recipe. For our MX I used 1/2" Grainger rubber cord for our 21" Continental -- just applied to one tire for now to see how it goes. I saw a slight gap here and there so added some more glue and was then more liberal with duct tape to hold it...
