Time to replace upper-control arm ball joints

Trifecta for the win! Upper Control Arm/Lower Lateral Link/Lower Comp Link plus associated hardware replaced on both sides to the tune of $1000 at 64500 miles, June 2019 M3LR. For the past several months ECTO-1 has had some barely audible squeaks going over speed bumps, nothing related to...

    1100+ miles with 2 MTBs

Two 250KW Superchargers have opened in South Carolina alone on I-95 since we went to Hilton Head in May. I also realized I didn't have my rack "aligned" (left/right) as well as I could have. Lessened the drag with the bikes "tighter" behind the 3. https://supercharge.info/map ECTO-1

Model 3 Roof Rack - Install issues

Agree with Susan, my roof (frame) is flush with the glass. The water lets me know every time it rains!

    1100+ miles with 2 MTBs

Now that is funny! When they were new, they did each cost a pretty penny. I can get the T2 ad on and get 4 bikes loaded. Our other vehicle is a 15 Jeep GC which would normally be our travel choice, however, she likes the M3 more. So I don't question, load 'em and go! ECTO-1

    1100+ miles with 2 MTBs

Thought I would share our recent trip from Springfield VA to Hilton Head Island with our carbon fiber mountain bikes (Yeti and Specialized) on a Thule T2 rack (attached by eco-hitch). As we expected, our June 2019 M3 LR AWD (19” conti/45 psi cold) performed nominal. With just under 32K miles we...

    Damn, dead in garage...

Mine apparently only lasted 17 months... will know on Monday. Unfortunately far from the 36 months you are looking for. ECTO-1

    Damn, dead in garage...

Tow truck guy was able to 12V jump it and its on the flatbed. On its way to Tysons Corner. His thought was 12V, will be fixed on Monday. Thanks everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! ECTO-1

    Damn, dead in garage...

Well good ton know that you haven't had trouble since. I wonder if I should try and jump it to maneuver it around to make it easier for the tow truck guy... ECTO-1

    Damn, dead in garage...

Update: 12V somehow restored itself to let me in (both front windows went down), and I was also able to release the charge cable. Car is now cycling something under the frunk area. Sounds like some electronics. Tech guy stated he saw some brief hits of 12V issues. So it looks to be a 12V...

    Damn, dead in garage...

Not sure what happened today, but I just went to empty out my car to clean it and the phone or key card didn't work. A quick check online (Teslafi) and it can't communicate with the car either. No symptoms, just dead. Called roadside, they are coming to tow it. I asked if they could talk to...
