5 failed attemps at fixing a Model S door handle

Similar experience with our 2015 Model S. Finally fixed after several mobile visits and a multiple day stay at SF Tesla

Why are CPOs in such bad shape?

We test drove a Model three today they offered us $30K trade in on our 2015 P85D ('loaded" - optional interior and audio system upgrades. Insane but not Ludicrous.) This car has 70,000 miles, I was surprised that it has lost $95,000 in value already. Does no one want these?

    Radar detectors

$400 to Valentine once beats $400 every six months to State Farm (plus the revenue fees for the citations)

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

oh well The HPWC stopped working after a week or so despite the shiny contacts. Tesla came out and replaced the cable (took two visits and a couple of weeks) but it still ain't working. There are enough of these out there that someone must be fixing broken units - anyone know who to contact? Thanks

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

I posted this in "Energy" by mistake, I think it belongs here. This morning I saved $550. Our Gen 1 HPWC and 2015 P85D stopped charging with a red light at the port and error code "No wall power/Charge interrupted: check power source." A friend works for Tesla (his name is not Elon), he came by...

    Wall connector not charging

I have had exactly the same issue with our Gen 1 HPWC and 2015 P85D. A friend works for Tesla (his name is not Elon), he came by with a 2018 model S and a laptop. after a few false starts we got an error code indicating a bad ground connection in the cable. I had cleaned the connections and...

    California FasTrak Positioning Requirements

The spot to the right of the rearview mirror on our 2015 P85D is where the Valentine 1 works, I am not sure I can fit the FT Flex there as well. any other spot workable? Rear window?

From Love to Hate in one Roadtrip

That sucks! Our first Road-Trip was an adventure as well. We had planned to "top up" with a long 120V charge overnight in Kings Canyon National Park, but it was too cold and we had to backtrack two hours to I-5 to charge. After a total delay of five hours we drove to Death Valley. On the way...

    Car alarm.........car alarm?

Funny, our previous car was a 15 year old station wagon, it had a motion (bump) sensor and an ultrasonic intrusion detector as well. It seems odd that a $125,000 car, fully optioned, has a useless alarm.

    Car alarm.........car alarm?

I guess they wriggled in through the broken door window. The quarter window repair was VERY expensive, that, with the door glass and a new regulator (glass crumbs jammed the window mechanism) came to almost $1,700.00, just short of our insurance deductible.

    Car alarm.........car alarm?

Someone broke the passenger rear door and quarter windows, entered the car, folded a back seat and ransacked the trunk, peeling back the liner on the driver side trunk. Alarm did NOT go off, no notice to iPhone.....

    To 72 A or not to 72 A?

if I were you I will make a call to tesla immediately to add the charger upgrade. [/I [I] I second the above. Being on the road when you charging plans do not work out is a real trial. Anything that potentially reduces charging time in that sort of setting is a godsend. - - - Updated - - -...

    Model S and Pacemakers

It's an annoyance, not a real problem. Anti-theft magnetic portals also shut it off. It is not very high-tech, the controller talks to the implant by an early version of Bluetooth, the controller itself is programmed via infra-red, like an old Palm Pilot.
