Thank you Morpheus84! I just tried this on my 2018 Model 3 and it was still disabled. No wonder I've never been satisfied with its performance! :) I was behind another 3 in the snow last weekend and my rear window wasn't clearing and theirs was nicely melted away. That caught my attention...

Out of curiosity, do these have a larger ID than the OEM 18" wheels, or is it a different offset that allows these to fit over the performance brakes?

This is a great post! Thanks! I have done similar testing as well and found that my large ski box dropped the range by 25-30%. I've now changed to using the hitch I make to mount skis on a rack like in this photo of the model X. No range testing yet but it's got to be better than the box...

That's pretty funny. In my case, I had recently activated the TM3 dashcam and it captured the car's plate when they drove past me. Gave the footage to the police and insurance company, and searched online databases for a match, but no luck...

I make a hitch for the TM3 that uses Tesla's X receiver. Some pictures: Tow hitch bike rack? I prefer the removable hitch receiver that Tesla sells for the Model X to the Ecohitch, even though the X receiver isn't rated for as much load on a bike rack. I've carried four lightweight road bikes...

The hitch is dented and pushed into the sheet metal of the trunk, denting that. F'ing hit and run. :mad: Fortunately I had new hitch on-hand and that went on easily.

I'm loving having a hitch on my TM3 as I hate regularly putting bike(s) inside the car. And it also made a good bumper reinforcement when I got rear ended recently and the other car's bumper hit me down low.

Yes, I make one that uses the Model X removable receiver as I prefer that to the Ecolift receiver installation. About the same price as the Ecohitch. PM me for details.

I just bought SeaSucker’s Monkey Bars for my 3, and then found this thread! I like these bars, but so far have just driven with them with now cargo (as a test). Wind noise is bad from these round bars. Also, I realized that they’re not secure and in two seconds a pair of people could remove...

It's hard for me to imagine any car that gets to 60 mph in ~5 sec or less as being sluggish off the line, but perhaps the traction control is indeed impeding progress at first with the stock 18" tires and RWD?

I rented a RWD twice for 3 days total, and I have no recollection of it being sluggish off the line... It was faster than my LEAF! :D
