Just purchased Michelin PSS and would like feedback regarding them vs PS2?!

Thank you very much for the update, redi! So if I understand it correctly, you would rate the different tires as PSS Acoustic = PS2 > Primacy in terms of performance/ ride quality and PSS Acoustic = Primacy >> PS2 for reduction in road noise. I am also wondering if anyone knows what the...

Just purchased Michelin PSS and would like feedback regarding them vs PS2?!

redi, please keep us updated on the PSS Acoustics! Similar to you, my hearing is worsening rapidly, but I have always hated the loud road noise of my staggered PS2s, even when they were brand new. It was an eye-opener when I switched to the X-ice last winter, which were whisper-quiet in...

Speculation on Firmware 8.0 Download Priorities

It is random, except for I always get upgraded last!

Rim protection - 22" Onyx Black Wheels

But now the birds sitting in that tree will poop on your car!

Rear tires for the P85+ with 21x9 rears -- Michelin, Dunlop or Continental?

Still no tires here either. Talked to the tire center at Costco a few days ago and PSS are on nationwide backorder. The 245/35 PSS are supposedly showing up in their system, indicating that production will start within 30 days. However, I was told that the 265/35 PSS for the rear can't even be...

    Expensive tires!

I have a 21" staggered wheel setup with Michelin PS2s and was also charged in the mid $500s to replace a rear tire punctured by a razor blade. I believe this higher price is Tesla's way to recoup the "free" towing. As an aside, I also have Michelin X-ice winter tires on t-sportline 19" rims...

Rear tires for the P85+ with 21x9 rears -- Michelin, Dunlop or Continental?

Just as an FYI for people who are in the same situation as I am in, having to replace the original Michelin PS2 staggered tires: I went to Costco's Tire Center today and was told, even though they're still available, that the PS2 tires will supposedly be discontinued. However, PSS are still...

    Model S Boating Dynamics

Model S driven in a flooded tunnel in Kazakhstan: All other cars, including a truck were stuck in the water, while the Model S still moved. Elon later confirmed on Twitter that the Model S will float for a short period of time and that thrust can be applied via wheel rotation!

    P85D vs P85DL Wh/mi

I also don't see much of a difference in efficiency between Insane and Ludicrous. In my experience, however, the Sport setting is still better if you drive through hilly terrain compared with I or L, even with Range mode on.

Rear tires for the P85+ with 21x9 rears -- Michelin, Dunlop or Continental?

Thanks for the update! I was waiting for the PSS as well, so the October 2017 estimate will give us the opportunity to squeeze at least one more PS2 set in, the way they are being eaten up.:(

Performance of P85D with Ludicrous upgrade review

Thank you everyone for chiming in on my uneducated P85D "performance assessment". Sorka's test results at highway speeds reflect my limited experience that the Ludicrous upgrade performs best at speed. The original P85D was almost anemic in this range and that has dramatically changed now. All...

Performance of P85D with Ludicrous upgrade review

I got my upgraded P85D back earlier this week and I have to admit I am a bit surprised. It may just be my "butt dyno" being different than others, but somehow I expected more from this upgrade, following all the glowing comments here. I have to admit that I have only used Ludicrous without...

Thanks everyone for the encouraging reports! I continue to (patiently) wait for mine to happen.
