Haven't seen anyone post that they can configure from Tampa yet. I was around 75th in line and can't configure yet.

My guess (because that is all it is) is that IF the 200,000th car is sold in Q2, and the full credit is available until the end of Q3, anywhere from 125,000 to 175,000 Model 3s could get the full credit (and that's assuming a ramp up to 5k per week goes smoothly with no recalls or supply chain...

I don't see that happening. I just don't see them going above 5k per week without a second factory. I think 200k model 3s in 2018 is best case scenario (but I hope I'm wrong).

I wouldn't be surprised if they did that, possibly at the annual service visits or even OTA. But as mentioned, most people don't do full charge-discharge cycles ever with their car, as opposed to with their phones which often get more than one cycle per day. And if the batteries can go 500+...

I hope Tesla is testing out their cars in Florida's humid heat. Several people I know that are skeptical about EVs doubt whether they will hold up in this climate.

My guess is that it would be tough to make enough off that for it to be worthwhile. It would likely need to be a loaded M3 and any premium on it would push up against MS prices (at least for slightly used ones).

Not all banks/credit cards post transactions immediately. Do you usually see your charges instantly once you swipe your card? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

At what point do you "quaify" for the tax credit? When you order? Take delivery? Or something else?

Tampa had about 8 ipads/computer. Took me 80 minutes to get through line. I didnt count but would estimate 150 - 200 people. I was in line at 10.
