    Supercharger - Woburn, MA

A Supercharger in the Lawrence/Methuen area would be nice. It's too bad they seem to have scrubbed the planned one that was on last year's Tesla map.

    Supercharger - Woburn, MA

I was running down I-93 today and thought I'd run by the Woburn site on the chance that activity in Littleton meant something here. 'Nothing yet.

    Supercharger - Dedham, MA

Living in Walpole, a few towns south of Dedham, I'd been noticing a lot of Teslas being shuttled northbound on Rt. 1 in Norwood carrying dealer/mfg plates in the typical temporary, trunk/hatch plate holder. I noticed a bit later that Tesla is using a large lot at Sunbird Transportation off of...

Y still does not qualify for $2500 MA rebate after the $3K price cut

If I'm reading this right and from the MA rebate website: Costs not included in the purchase price are destination or delivery charges, sales and use taxes, additional maintenance or repair packages purchased from the dealership or showroom, documentation fees, registration fees, or add-ons...

    Supercharger - Burlington, MA

As someone old enough (but just barely) to remember what the Burlington Mall site looked like (albeit from the then new Rt. 128) before they began construction, it's kind of funny seeing any Planning Board concerns about aesthetics. That ship sailed a LONG time ago. I can't see the location of...

    Regenerative braking

I had that happen in a far more modern car. My 1984 VW Rabbit suffered a broken clutch cable sheath once that left the clutch engaged. I did the same thing as you, starting in 1st gear (lucky 1st was very short and the starter had no trouble pulling the car) and shifting on the go. 'Got home...

    Regenerative braking

Steady driving is always more efficient than stop and go. In an ICE, all the stopping the brakes do represents lost energy. In an EV, regen captures and returns the bulk of the kinetic energy back to the car upon re-acceleration, but round trip efficiency is not 100%. Even in an EV, it pays...

Strange GPS directions Baxter State Park

No, the Golden Road becomes unpaved somewhere around Caribou Lake and then the road from the Golden Road to Kokajo is all unpaved. It has been some years since I drove that myself, but I just looked and saw that Google has it mapped on Streetview. It's all unpaved, private road with a Plum...

Strange GPS directions Baxter State Park

Looks like it wanted to take you towards the Golden Road then the road down to Kokajo, which is basically where the pavement restarts. Then onto Greenville and Rockwood. It might have been doable. Those aren't bad for logging roads and you wouldn't have been on unpaved roads long. They're...

    Supercharger-Wareham Crossing, MA--Permit

Since things going back to May are in question I can say that I was there the last week in June and charged okay. A few other stalls were in use and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. I don't recall any pavement reconstruction, excavation, etc. anywhere in the immediate area of the chargers.

    Supercharger - Ashland, NH

I traveled to NH 2 weekends ago and it seemed every store and food service restroom was closed. Is this a statewide thing in NH for COVID?

    Supercharger - Woburn, MA

Passed, with only one council member opposed. Rah! The alderman opposed said it was too close to wetlands, but he was just being stupid in my opinion, since this project doesn't increase the paved footprint. That and the parking lot is already bordered by public roads. 'Crazy objection...

    Mass Inspections near Peabody

That all makes sense, but it also gives me an incentive to buy a Mach-E or something from a place that can do all the service under one roof and on one visit as I am accustomed to do with most other vehicles when they get serviced.

    Mass Inspections near Peabody

I still don't see why Tesla cannot get set up to do inspections. If Joe Smoe garage and gas station can do it, so can Tesla. I know that everybody says that service centers are too busy, but in my opinion offering state inspections is about as necessary as offering tire repair.

    Supercharger - Medway Maine

I've never been on the Golden Road, but I've done quite a few of the logging and back country roads on the north and east sides of Moosehead. The forest rangers in the area carry 2 spare tires and after getting a flat myself years ago in my Ford Ranger way off the pavement past Spencer Pond, I...
