I agree. I've had some of this with any car, but the model 3 is significantly more and outlines the whole car, with the worst in the rear. In California, we've had some VERY light rains, and I'm mopping today. My floor is epoxied so I do see what happens. Others may have more absorbent floors.

Took delivery of white M3 one week ago and was advised by DS to wait "a while" before even washing the car as paint is quite new.

New wrinkle: approaching the car with my v5.1.1 Android Nexus 4 sleeping unlocks the doors, walking far away from car, unfortunately, does not, even awake. I can, however, lock doors from afar using the app.

I've had my M3 for a week now. Interestingly, during delivery orientation, the specialist dropped the card between center console and seat and had to frantically retrieve it. With some effort he did so! I think that speaks to putting the card in a plastic holder and creating a sort of key fob...

Hi Dan- A most interesting post and cautionary tale. With my delivery upcoming in a few days, was wondering at what financial stage you were when you refused. I plan to walk in with a cashier's check...after handing it to them, it seems it might be hard to refuse when the car is pulled around...
