    Supercharger - Sulphur Springs, TX

FYI we used this Supercharger twice the last 3 days, and it is working fine. Full power. Even though the Nav still says it is closed. It appears that the construction in the parking lot is finally completed. The temps were cold on both occasions though (near freezing).

    Supercharger - Sulphur Springs, TX

No way I would risk it if I were you. You could charge up in Texarkana.... PlugShare But it will take a few hours likely to charge enough.

My first Texas road trip using superchargers

Interesting, this post. Because I have had an awful time at the Sulphur Springs supercharger with the same issues, extremely slow charging! It casts a pall over a roadtrip that would otherwise have been fun. Seems like Tesla needs to maintain some better quality control over their superchargers...

    Supercharger - Sulphur Springs, TX

FYI the last three times I have stopped at Sulphur Springs TX supercharger (over the last two weeks), the charging has been super slow. Yesterday was the worst. When I plugged in, the car/app told me it would require 25 minutes of charging before I had enough to continue my trip. But it would...

    Model X Road Trips

I mostly didn't use Range Mode, didn't seem to provide much benefit and we needed max cooling! We had our AC set to 68F The entire trip....

    Model X Road Trips

I typically used the 4s setting while drafting. It seemed safe to me. Of course, I remained vigilant and occasionally increased to 6s when it seemed appropriate (for example construction zones).

    Model X Road Trips

Yes, the threshold seemed to be with an ambient temp of over 90F or so. Above that, the amount of AC available for cabin cooling was diminished. And with an ambient temp over 100F there was minimal cooling (although it seemed to keep the cabin below 95F at least).

    Model X Road Trips

My wife, 2 kids and I just completed a 3,100 mile trip from Texas to Wisconsin and back.... we went to Fond du Lac for a family wedding. Some stats from my trip computer for those who may be interested: Car: P90DL, 7 seater, 22" wheels. TX to WI: 1,377 mi. Av energy 411 wh/mi Total trip (TX...

    Towing a 2016 Airstream Sport 16

Will do, although on my maiden voyage the Airstream felt a little too squirrely for me with a slight sway occasionally that wagged the X a little. Dropping the ball mount 0.75" down may help that a little, but I am probably going to investigate some kind of sway control. At first I thought that...

    Towing a 2016 Airstream Sport 16

They are going to have it to get sorted out. Almost all manufacturers are switching to LED lights in 2017.

CURT 57003 LED Trailer Light Adapter, $23.99 on Amazon, free same day delivery! Works great and the Prodigy RF Brake Controller is good too. I have the .75" rise ball mount, but I think the front end of the Airstream is a tad high, so I am going to switch to a straight 0" ball mount. BTW, the...

    Towing a 2016 Airstream Sport 16

On your first point, we tried that! Didn't work. Turns out the exterior lights are totally independent of everything else. On your second point, we thought of that too. I even have a Y-splitter coming in so that I can experiment wiring a resistor in, if the CURT adapter doesn't work. Anyway...

    Towing a 2016 Airstream Sport 16

It should work, it really should. I have paired mine up already, and it gets power from the Tesla connector and everything seems hunky dory. Much better option than wiring up an ugly brake controller under the dash in the Tesla! Also, the Bowlus Road Chief 24' trailer uses an RF controller too...

Thank you very useful! 7-Way Electrical Adapters Yes, I am sure a firmware fix will solve it, but I have a short term problem and your info is extremely appreciated. Thank you!
