Is the EMMC located on the daughter board. Tesla recommends to replace the daughter board which is actually cheaper.

well, my car is no officially unoperable. It will not even start. First time i called a month ago, they refused to tow me in saying i needed to pay. Luckily today they are towing me in as i did bring it in and got turned around previously.

Sounds like your mcu is failing. Check my poll post. My screen started acting up and then a few weeks later it died. funny how yours is a 2016. we are going to see a lot of these posts in next few months as the mcu seems to have a 4 year lifespan before crashing.

I thought about adding a no, but I’m not trying to get a ratio as it would not be a fair ratio of cars with and without the issue. I wanted to see the spread in years and already showing that 2016 is an issue. will do!

I really wonder what the % of issues and how widespread it is. It seems to be an issue that may affect most 2016 X sooner or later. Just a quick search shows this similar issue is coming up constantly for what I thought i was a unique situation. I've purchased 4 Teslas and the service does not...
