Steering Wheel - High Frequency Vibration / Feedback

Thanks! I already verified that it’s no longer an issue on the 2019/2020 models. I did 1500 miles in a 2019 a few months ago and enjoyed it. Traded in a 2014 FJ Cruiser for the Model 3, and almost went Tacoma back then too. I will miss the car, but the ownership experience put a bad taste in my...

Steering Wheel - High Frequency Vibration / Feedback

I really appreciate all of your feedback on this. Part of my reason for starting this thread was to maybe help others having the same issue as well. After a lot of deliberation this weekend I came to the conclusion I am not satisfied with the build quality or theoretical long term quality...

Steering Wheel - High Frequency Vibration / Feedback

Interesting! The 20” tires are the Pilot Sports that are OEM? I switched from MXM4s to Pilot Sport 4s earlier this year hoping it’d get rid of the vibration, but didn’t change a thing.

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

You bet I’m going to check this on my Model 3 as well! It’ll be a few days before I can dig into it, but I’ll report back after. Thanks for letting us know!

Steering Wheel - High Frequency Vibration / Feedback

Thanks for the feedback! (Pun intended) No, the road surfaces I spend most of my time driving on did not change around 3000 miles. It wasn't a night/day shift either - it's something that started off gradually. I have tested two other Model 3's that don't exhibit this kind of...

Steering Wheel - High Frequency Vibration / Feedback

I’ve posted about this in a few related threads, but figured it deserved a place of it’s own due to how absolutely stumped this has Tesla, and me. (before you read on: this is NOT due to lane departure warning) My 2018 LR RWD started producing a high-frequency gentle vibration or feedback felt...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Sorry to hear about your issues Robert, I am going through the same things on my Model 3. Final service attempt to repair next week before filing lemon law claim and wiping my hands of the brand, car and everything Tesla in general, then going back to Lexus again. Keep us posted on how things...

Would You Buy a Model 3 Again Today?

Not a chance. I may have received a lemon, but it’s been the shoddiest built car I have ever owned. :(

Plastic vibration noise inside coming from dash area

Wow, same situation here. After repeated attempts to repair vibration/grinding in steering, mine is going in next week for a final attempt to resolve it, and if unsuccessful is getting lemon law filing started as well. Rattling is the least of my concerns on the car, and I could maybe even live...

Suspension problems. OEM dampers are failing.

I appreciate the feedback - and understand that a lot of people wouldn’t be able to differentiate lane departure warning versus something mechanical. It’s not LDW, as turning the option on/off doesn’t change anything. Even though I always indicate when changing lanes, this was the first thing I...

Suspension problems. OEM dampers are failing.

That’s what I figured as well. My issue is grinding / vibration felt through steering wheel, seats and rest of car depending on road. Tires and wheels checked by Tesla, road forced well within limits, wheel runout is good, alignment is good. Beyond the basics it’s been totally useless trying...
