Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

This type of ad hominem attacks is what gives tesla fanboys (or are they actually tesla social media employees? I'm confused) and the brand itself a bad rep. Well I ain't a finance professor, but I did take my share of statistics classes back in college. If you want to get into the cherry...

Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

I'd rather drive a properly built Audi (or BMW/Mercedes/Porsche/GM/Ford) that I don't have to worry about quality and fit/finish in 2025 than a rushed-to-the-door Tesla with all kinds of problems in 2018. Plus, I don't mind getting smoked at the traffic light by teslas in my AMG or my pickup...

Well they finally sent a flatbed to pick this sorry pos up. Buh-bye! Let's see how long it takes to get the money back now.

This is what Tesla needs, specialized prep centers in key strategic locations where the cars are inspected and prepped before being shipped to dealerships. Tesla's local service centers can't inspect for s**t. This is why cars delivered by MB, BMW, etc. are pristine and we don't need to worry...

Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

The problem is if the brand is primarily sold to enthusiasts who are a lot more tolerant of its problems, the brand will remain a niche/enthusiast brand. The market, however, is expecting a lot more and both Tesla and the enthusiasts are underestimating how "demanding" the "regular" customers...

Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

This type of fanboyism is what turns people away from this brand. First of all, any reputable car brand won't let this crap happen in the first place---all cars purchased from manufacturers will be meticulously examined and bad apples won't be delivered to customers. Delivering a...

Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

Now I'm gonna get the C63 AMG from wifey as my daily driver! Too bad I sold the Volt. Would have loved an EV as daily driver which the Tesla was intended for. Well, only one year until the Audi arrives I guess. Too bad they weren't being any more proactive despite the host of issues. The only...

Refund should be the entire amount. I just put down the $1k deposit for the Audi. Adios Tesla for a couple of years! When the money gets back I'll use that for a nice loaded Chrysler Pacifica plug-in plus a shipping container of beers.

Update. They said there's no new car that they can match and I have to place a new order if I want a replacement. So of course now I'm gonna get the money back. Audi e-tron here I come!

    NJ Cherry Hill Delivery-mixed feelings

My guess if its really a below-surface crack or deep delamination it wouldnt hold under its own weight and will spread. Mine was also quite pinkish in color. Surface chips (I got one of those in the rear glass as well--see my pics) probably won't.

    NJ Cherry Hill Delivery-mixed feelings

Your glass is exactly like the one that I got (the Cleveland Fiasco) and mine is already spreading inwards in the area with the worst delamination, about 1/4 inch in the last two days. You better watch that pretty closely and take plenty of pictures.

    Hit n Run n WELP

Get a decent dash cam with a good "parking mode". I have this hooked up in two of my cars and it already caught one hit and run (old couple probably didn't even notice they hit my car) and one attempted burglary (guy trying a wire hangar on the passenger side door). I have it hooked up to an...

Glad you had a good experience there. I'm sure there are good staff over there (the new manager that I've been working with on the return process is much better and more responsive) but they def. have some bad apples among their low-level staff. I'm gonna follow up with the executive team to see...

Staggering amount of issues found at/after delivery. Considering returning the car.

A quick update: Didn't drive to Cleveland yesterday because I was assured by a delivery manager (different guy than the ones I've been talking to at the SC) that I would be perfectly within the two day "return window" because I did indicate to multiple parties within Tesla of my intention to...

7 miles on the odometer. Not a loaner but I don't know maybe some staff decided to take it for a quick joyride around the block.
