Yes this is probably the safest, to avoid messing with the system, even if a second monitor would kind of ruin the minimal look of the interior.

I was wondering if it's technically possible to instal a 3rd party 360 camera kit on a Model 3 and have the bird eye view showing up on the big screen. Is there a software or hw limitation?

Final answer from service was: it's all normal, the system keeps the battery in a certain temperature range. I got used to it and don't notice it anymore. Sometimes is so faint that I hear it only at night going very close to the frunk.

Ok then it's time to call service :(
