Well I ended up ordering the 235 wide pilot sport 4 with the acoustic foam. If I don't like them I can burn through them quickly and get a pair of 4s's instead.

What tires came on your 19" wheels? I have a stealth with 18 inch wheels in production that should be here in a few weeks, and I'm wondering if it's too late for me to get 19 inch wheels on those with summer tires before delivery.

265's don't "require" a 9"+ wide rim, that's just what is recommended by the manufacturer. People sometimes push the limits just a shade with more tire than manufacturer's recommendations. It's not optimal, but I've done it before on previous cars....
