What is PW's KW draw when charging from the grid? I have 2 PW's and they are charging at 2.4kw.

I'm in chilly Upstate NY, it's 24F outside and 34F in my insulated, but not heated garage, and my PW+/PW2 combo is charging at 7.2kW @ 79% charge.

    Option Code Errors

Ever since the web page on deciphering option codes went live I've wondered if whomever programmed the codes into my car had just come back from a liquid lunch break. My 2019 M3 reads out these code errors: AFP0: Autopilot Firmware 2.0 Base (I have Full Self Driving - should readout AFP2...

No more direct customer access to PW+

Actually, if you get the Tesla Pros app you can login using your original Tesla login/pwd.

No more direct customer access to PW+

I'm accessing the PW+ ethernet (wired) interface. I initially set up the Ethernet interface myself while they setup the WiFi interface. I'm on firmware 23.28.1 fa0c1ad0.

No more direct customer access to PW+

Just went to access my PW+ via web browser and got the message that it's no longer supported - only through the Tesla Pros app. Considering that you can't really change anything when logged in as a Customer, it's a pretty crappy thing to do to your Customers, especially since the phone app has...

FPL (Florida) increases minimum monthly bill to $25 (plus taxes and fees)

Here in Upstate NY the minimum charge is $17.33 & fees, which comes to just under $18.

    National Grid NYS true-up rate?

Posted from TOCNYS... An EV, Solar, & National Grid VTOU For anyone in NYState under National Grid. If you have VTOU service, the day is split into two rate periods most of the year - On Peak: 7am-11pm, and Off Peak: 11pm-7am. During June-September a third rate period is added - Super Peak...

    National Grid NYS true-up rate?

Somewhere I did a whole writeup on NG & Solar, but never saved a copy to paste here. I don't have the "value plan," I got my Model 3, then switched to VTOU, then got Solar & PWs. Regular Residential Service is SC1, which I think is around $0.16-.18 per kWh (cost plus fees) in the Utica Load...

    Charge By Solar Not Showing

Same thing here. Even with advanced betas selected I'm stuck at 2023.7.20, and don't see any logical reason why. There's got to be some algorithm selecting who gets the latest betas - possibly depending on the number of edge cases you report?

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

If you track all your readings in a spreadsheet like I do, all you have to do is add an "=SUM(from the net - to the net)" function to the column that used to contain the overall net plus or minus, then tell it to apply that function to the whole column. Also, I see that the Powerwalls % readout...

Tesla to add the ability to Charge EV with excess solar

I'll stand corrected in, oh, a few hundred thousand years. :P

Tesla to add the ability to Charge EV with excess solar

The only trouble with that is that oil doesn't come from dead dinos, it comes from dead plants. Oh well! :P

    NEM-PS Annual True-Up Calculation [PG&E example]

For anyone in NYState under National Grid, the whole process is a lot simpler. If you have VTOU service, the day is split into two rate periods most of the year - On Peak: 7am-11pm, and Off Peak: 11pm-7am. During June-September a third rate period is added - Super Peak: 2pm-7pm. Power credits...

I tried that on myself, but I ended up declaring bankruptcy. :P

Pennsylvania Solar Roof and Powerwall Canceled

AHC certainly did give a damn about the complexity, but they've already averaged out their ratio of complex to simple installs that will keep them out of the red, so they might eat some profit on your roof, but make it up on someone else's. Yes, it sucks that Tesla didn't do more research...
