    Model 3 Highland Performance

Absolutely nothing wrong at all and I don't doubt it's the financially sensible thing to do. My reasons for considering an update to a newer model is only because my 2020 M3P missed out on a few of the features which would be quite nice to have - matrix headlights for example. However, at...

    Model 3 Highland Performance

All very interesting. I wonder if it depends on the way prices are going whether Tesla exercise their right to revise the trade-in value? Obviously if a revised trade-in is higher (probably unlikely) it's in their interest to not change it. Ho-hum. Unfortunately I don't have any friends in...

    Model 3 Highland Performance

Thanks for that. That's disappointing! I'm contemplating ordering (not sure whether it will be a P or, more likely, an LR). Current trade-in on my 2020 P is £23k. I was planning on waiting to see if prices drop but by then the trade-in will have dropped also no doubt. Thanks for the info.

Ah, I didn't realise this. I assumed that the trade-in value that was quoted at the time you placed the order was "locked in". But your saying then that the trade-in value can drop after you've placed the order? Is that correct?

I'd be interested to know if they do offer you £37k - I thought Tesla didn't negotiate on such things.

    Model 3 Highland Performance

I'm interested in the new Performance but Tesla's trade-in valuation for my 2020 M3P is £23k, WBAC is £20,745 and Motorway is up to £24,988. So at best a gap of around £35k. I'm torn now between waiting to see if the price drops, but then the valuation of my car will almost certainly drop too...

No, you were spot on, sadly.

    Charging in Kent?

Thank you guys, very much. Yes, I'd planned to top up at Medway. One of the things that shocked me, looking at the Electroverse and ZapMap apps, was the cost of public charging! I'm used to charging for 7.5p/kWh at home!

    Charging in Kent?

We're going down to the Dover area for a week's break shortly. It seems there's not a lot of Tesla superchargers nearby. Any recommendations for charging in the area? Thanks.

Absolutely. Loved by the likes of the Daily Mail and the desperate right-wing politicians.

For the second night, IO failed to initiate charging. I've noticed also (it may not be related) that the phone app is either extremely slow to connect to the car or simply fails. The car is parked within a few feet of my router when charging. I only have a Pod Point charger so have no choice...

Thank you very much for your replies. I'll plug in again this evening and see what happens.

Apologies for what is probably a very dumb question: When you have an IO charge schedule set up overnight, does the device (mobile phone) running the Octopus app need to be switched on for the duration of the charge? My reason for asking is that IO failed to charge the car last night and it's...

No, I don't think he's from the energy provider police, he's a guy who's trying to use the very generous tariff provided by Octopus fairly. It's people such as you who will f*** things up for all of us by trying to cheat the system. Hopefully, if you carry on, you'll get rumbled and thrown off...

As @Pink Duck says, check if you have some missing data. I've had this happen several times now and it seems to break the automatic billing. An email to Octopus results in it being sorted out
