Excellent, will use this for a trip in the spring!

    Wipers

It's not just that the wipers are bad (which they are) but they are worse. It used to just be an annoyance that they didn't wipe, but I could just press the manual button. When it got annoying enough I'd switch it to manual mode while the wiper card was visible. Now it is frequently and randomly...

    MY will not automatically unlock

This still fails on my car all the time. Taking the phone out of my pocket and holding it near the car does not help. I usually have to shut off BT, wait for the Tesla app to complain about BT off, then turn BT back on. It's faster to just take out my key card (I never drive anywhere using just...

Winter tires -- should I buy the Tesla full tire set? (I'm in VT)

I have a 2018 Model 3 AWD in Denver. I went the first year with the stock tires. It was OK, but a little slippy. The next year I did what you ask about and bought a complete set of winter tires and wheels from Tesla. I didn't feel like researching alternates. They are much much more secure...

Glad to hear there's progress. I was just trying to plan a trip down to that area and was surprised by the lack of charging (including the lack of L2 chargers as a backup.)

M3P Auto wipers on when in Autopilot normal? [yes]

I forget to mention my release is 2023.7.30 FSDb

M3P Auto wipers on when in Autopilot normal? [yes]

Same problem here with my 218 Model 3. Randomly wipe for no reason I can see (pun intended.) Sometimes it's just a wipe or two. Sometimes it goes for awhile. This is while FSDb is engaged; so, wipers can't be overridden.

Why does FSD run so many red lights?

I've had it do this one. It was not a particularly complicated intersection. It's between a semi major 4 lane road and a minor two lane road. I was on the 4 lane road. It pulled into the left turn lane and stopped at the red arrow. Then after a moment it just decided to go! It was a huge...

Power Trunk Retrofit on Model 3s now Available Direct from Tesla [09.14.2023 - 2018 model 3 not eligible]

My hopes aren't high of it becoming available, but I would buy it if they offer.

I was nowhere near fast enough. I'll console myself in that I get to see how it works out for the rest of you before I get it :D

Tesla FSD - A Five Year Perspective

My experience mirrors this very closely. I'm also an engineer (software, mostly firmware and recently machine learning and computer vision.) I bought my Model 3 in November 2018 with EAP and added FSD with the same $2,000 deal. I'll agree that NoA works, once one turns off lane changes for...

Can I still use Tesla data plan cross border

    I'm pretty sure it's cellular

2023.20.9 got rid of steering wheel nag!

I'd also wondered about the posts with people talking about accidentally disabling FSD via steering torque. My 2018 M3 is like yours. It's pretty much impossible to exit FSD w/o making the car veer. However, I just went on a trip and rented a 2022 M3. The torque feel was worlds lighter and I...
