    USB Music frustration

Tesla support indicates there is a "fix" coming in patch 2022.16. In the mean time you can recover your last playback point *most of the time* by using the car's voice commands. Unfortunately, one of voice commands posted on the forums was recently broken... Here is the list of what still...

"USB" voice command "can't open that service"

Thank you Horatio Alger and Transformer for the info. Both of those commands still work on my Model X as of this morning (June 3 2022). In summery: Works: Voice "Switch to USB" Voice "Change audio source to USB" NO LONGER Works: Voice "USB" If course Tesla might be revamping the whole...

Tesla confirmed to me In the service app that this is a firmware bug, and will be corrected in patch 2022.16. However, no ETA was given on when the patch would be Uploaded.

Using SSD for Sentry and music

At the At the top of the USB File menu screen, select the far right choice labeled "Folders". If your original library was copied with its correct folders and subfolders, the same should display here now.

I could actually smell burning circuit board material on my drive back to Virginia. However the problem seemed only to affect displays, navigation, warning lights, and...

New member here. I wanted to correct a typo on a short answer post but couldn't figure how... Once my post was up I didn't see any button to re-open to edit, even within the "5 minutes" suggested by other posts. Please let me know, and thanks.

I did notice the "spring" noise when I open my glove box, not so much when closing. It's like a "Jack In The Box" kind of sound, but mild enough where it didn't bother me.

Using SSD for Sentry and music

I'm using an M.2 NVMe USB 3.1 Gen 2 SSD Enclosure with an Adata 2TB Falcon M.2 drive. Loaded it with over 40,000 files totaling 600gb of MP3's, and it boots up in less then 3 minutes. This is using the console USB-3 socket. For the dedicated glove-box Sentry drive, I use a 512gb Micro Center...
