    UK Aug 23 Insurance Recommendations

68% increase for my M3P this year with my current provider (Churchill); and whom are still the cheapest for me. £625 last year, going to £1050 this year with £800 excess. 42 year old male with an SP50 from 2020. no accidents/claims in my 17 years of driving. depressing!

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Get away with?? What are you talking about? There is literally an option in the app to disable smart control. I take it you don't have a PV or Battery system and are unable to relate.

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I am using IO a bit like Go, tbh. I don't need to charge my car out with the the allocated 6 hours during the night so it suits me to operate like that. Furthermore, IO isn't particularly compatible with a PV + Battery storage system, so I absolutely do not want, or need Octopus to control when...

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

They seem to align with What Autodoc have listed i.e the same OE Number provided to me by Tesla listed against them: Front pads Rear pads Thoughts?

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

I reached out to Tesla Edinburgh parts department this morning and the rotor part numbers still align with what you said. So Brembo definitely seem to have it wrong. However, the pads set Brembo advised, P 09 029 and P 09 030, do appear to align to OEN below according to Autodoc and are...

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

Genuinely not trying to be smart here, but are you sure the "Brakes have been the same on the M3P since launch." i.e. is 1044616-00-D still the current part number being used by Tesla for the front rotors? The reason I am querying this, is because I decided to bite the bullet and replace the...

Part No. for brakes and pads

I used the Brembo parts finding tool, and those were the parts it told me I needed. I guess I was just looking for a little reassurance from anyone who's bought them before, prior to my purchase.

Part No. for brakes and pads

Hi Folks, My close friend whom owns his garage, is going to replace my brakes for me. He told me to go buy the parts from Autodoc. I was hoping someone wouldn't mind just double checking I have sourced the right parts before I make the purchase. I have a M3 Performance, MY21 (facelift)...

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

It'll be 3 years this December when I bought the car. So presumably I have just over another year left?! I did wonder about taking it for a MOT, which presumably I could do at this stage since it will be 3 years old in December.

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

So are you suggesting only M3P drivers aren't bedding in their brakes? I don't hear any stories of this happening with non M3P teslas, or any other manufactures for that matter.

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

Hi guys, my 21 M3P (22kmiles) is booked in to the Glasgow centre tomorrow for 2 or 3 warranty claims, one of which is the brakes...again! they have previously fobbed me off. I feel its got worse. The brakes definitely are not preforming as well as they should be. There is also a metallic...

    Weird metallic/mechanical sound when steering

Thanks folks. The stone theory does sound plausible. I will keep my eye on it.

    Weird metallic/mechanical sound when steering

So I was up visiting a client in Callander today when my car started making a weird noise as I was navigating through the windy country roads. The noise came from under the car, near the front. But It only seemed to happen as I turned the wheel. It was quite loud and sounded like metal...

Disc brake significant grooves - performance only?

Do we actually know what's causing this uneven wear? Would replacing the pads alone resolve this if we so chose to resolve this ourselves? It's reaping havoc with my OCD. whilst the breaks still of course work, I just don't feel they are as effective as they should be. Some of the loaner model S...
