This sums up my thoughts perfectly (and better than I could have said).
At least I learned that FSD will be worth it when one can just read a book, take a nap and not pay any attention to the driving-just like having a driver. Even if its still slower than driving yourself, you may not care...
I have had some pretty terrible Uber drivers.
But with Uber, I can look at my phone, read or nap (if I am not too worried about the driver). I am not responsible for any accidents.
You will know FSD is ready when Tesla is willing to be responsible for any accidents and it is then a true...
Not directly stock related, but a buddy of mine and his wife, woke millennials who absolutely hate and scorn Elon and swore they would never buy a Tesla, got a Model Y this past weekend.
They have been thinking of switching their 11-year old Subaru to an EV and asking me about different EVs...
I had not heard this about Twitter's operational performance.
Is this just a made up a story to hit on Elon, or has Twitter's performance really gotten worse ? Article claims this is the 6th major outage in 2023 versus 9 all of 2022...
Illinois dealers have large Internet Auto sales department that sell to out-of-state customers. They do not pay double tax or they would not have any business.
So please check again.
Denial here is strong. Look at the Tesla website, Model S prices have dropped $10k and $12k, you don’t even have to negotiate.
I don’t know what anyone is talking about lack of Plaids, they are all over, dozens here.
In Chicago area I am seeing $12k off Plaids and $10k off LR. Strange because I expected to see other incentives (like free suoercharging) before price cuts. And they have not officially lowered the sticker prices, just offering discounts. Maybe they learned when abruptly cutting 3 and Y why...
That link now shows 25 cars. And that link usually only shows unique builds, there may actually be multiple cars of the same build behind each car that is actually shown.
I remember in 2019 there was lots of denial here of a large drop in the price of S/X, but prices still dropped $30K.
There will be another price cut on Model S/X. After I bought my first S in 2018, the base price proceeded to drop from over $104K to $69K over the next 2 years.
So I traded my S in at a big loss, but got a new 2020 S Raven at a great price and it came with lifetime free supercharging.
This makes clear that the Model Y LR-AWD is still higher in price than it was for most of 2021. I think Tesla can handle that.
Performance Y is the bargain now.
