Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

To be fair, the union transport minister offered to give support if Tesla chooses to manufacture locally. Tesla chose China over India for obvious reasons.

You must worry more about the air quality rather than autopilot.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

You are forgetting the first mover advantage and the IP portfolio they might carry. Elon might volunteer the battery/EV tech for faster adaptation but FSD may be not.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A little old industry leading numbers are close to 1TOPS/W and Nvidia/Google are the worst performers in terms of TOPS/W at close to 0.5. It's not just about cost or power but about the controllability in terms of HW and SW basically vertical integration of FSD things

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

Very low number of people use kerosene as alternate fuel to petrol(less than .1%) which is distributed at subsidy for poor and is colored in blue to avoid black market sale. I did not find them in recent times at all at least in southern parts. This usage can be identified easily with high noise...

TSLA Market Action: 2018 Investor Roundtable

Actually car ownership is even lesser because car is owned mostly in cities/towns. Its no longer apt to say that the rich only have cars but the middle class in cities is buying more. Per capita numbers look small because of huge population. As per recent govt. report it is at 22 per 1000 and is...

    Tesla Gigafactory Investor Thread

One question I have regarding evaluating a factory value from experts. Is it per annum output value of its product or per annum operation cost or the build cost or something else? For the first two which are almost same minus profit, I dont see a problem matching the cap ex spend vs the progress...

Fair to say the Model 3 killed Hydrogen!

So is the fuel of choice for sun too and it never stopped exploding. I just want my car to go on the road and not explode like a spaceship when there is an accident. You know, its better to be late(charging) than never(explode)!! and I want my car maintenance to be like a car and not like a...

    Hydrogen vs. Battery

Well, you can use multiple connectors and achieve the similar charge times and I guess you cannot do the same with gas i.e insert multiple nozzles into one tank!! Though battery cost is high you save on the fuel costs so it works out well when they break even.

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2016

My guess is that the cancellations will come when the incentives are gone not because they expected the top end model will be available at 35k. Few reservations were made expecting that incentive. If they don't get it they might cancel and go for a car costing 20-25k. JMO

    Feasible-looking Model 3 Rendering from EasyCharge.me

This looks like this car almost from every angle except the nose cone and the doors. Not that it is bad in anyway but just something that reminded me when I see the design. Honda All New City

Elon Musk Warns Of Fracking Dangers

From what I understand, he is concerned about the environment damage that causes because of fracking which can be stopped by making cheaper EVs that reduces oil usage and thus reduces the need for fracking.
