I visited this site yesterday, 12/2, about 2 PM. Electric meter is now in place but the charging cable did not activate my charging door to open. This site will only be the first step in getting adequate SC coverage in the Philly suburbs.
Poor charging rate again here at Allentown SC. Was at 3A with car at 3B. Max kW was 39. Once other bays opened I moved over to 2A with 2B vacant. Only getting 57 kW. Seems like poor charging rates of last fall.
I stopped by Oneonta site on Nov 25 or 26. At that time there it did NOT appear that any work of any kind had been done since my previous post. Perhaps something in the two weeks since then. But doubt it.
Charged at Allentown this morning even though the SC was grayed out on navigation and noted as closed. Only one vehicle charging when I arrived. Used 3A. Max kW leveled out at 65 or so. SC appears to be working but not at charge rate we have experienced at other SC. No sign of work being done...
I was at Allentown SC a bit ago. Charging only got up to 16 kW. Couldn’t wait for the hour or more charging time to get to my destination. I got 9 miles in 10 minutes, enough to safely get to Basking Ridge SC. While driving I call Tesla 800#. After 30 minute wait I reported repeated charging...
Returned to Allentown charger today. Charger 1A would not engage to charge. Tried 3A, with car in 3B. Only got 8 kW. Did not improve after 5 minutes. Moved to 1B with 1A not occupied. Started at 80 kW. I don’t need much of a charge but it seems like this SC does not have anything like the posted...
Allentown/Whitehall charger bays full tonight. Very poor charging rate probably contributing to excessive time at changer & thus cars waiting. Several have left with minimum to get to next charging location - SC or home.
