I looked at it in my car today, and I was surprised to realize that this area really is just a small panel of trim. Should be easy to replace. I think this is different from my previous MS.
Interesting...I'm pretty sure the 100D that I just took delivery of has no dead pedal at all. The mat that came with the car *does* have a cutout for where the dead pedal used to be though, which leaves some of the floor of the drivers side uncovered by the floormat.
That is an awesome capture by your cam. Hope it didn't do anything serious to the car, and I hope the Peacock is either ok or in a better place. Reminds me that I just had a turkey cross the road in front of me this morning and I was thinking my wife would get a kick out of it if I was able to...
Sorry this happened to you. Check with Tesla for solutions, but I'm pretty sure some kind of refinishing treatment is available as an aftermarket item. Post back and let us know how you end up getting it remedied. Thank you!
I know that spot has been a frequently reported area of increased wear on all Teslas. I had heard at one point that Tesla made some changes to how prominent the spot was, but I can't really confirm. I think if you normally drive with your seat leaned back past a certain point, this spot will...
That's weird that the actual Tesla service centers are quoting you different costs. Perhaps the cheaper SC is marking some of the cost as Goodwill (i.e. For free) depending on the relationship you might have with them.
As far as your insurance goes, I would probably not make the effort to...
That clears up a lot of my questions and allows me to visualize it better. Thank you for the individualized advice!
Of all the different puddle lights out there...any recommendations that you can make?
I didn't mention in my original reply...I'm in California and have GEICO insurance. Comprehensive coverage with glass replacement $250 deductible for anything. The rock impact I had ended up causing a crack in short order that extended about 16 inches in the middle of the windshield. I did...
What's the deal with your insurance? I have comprehensive with glass coverage at a $250 deductible. Tesla would charge $1400-1700 depending on which windshield. There are no other alternatives to Tesla glass still....no Safelight, etc. Insurances just foot the Tesla bill no questions asked.
I read a report from someone on here that the plug and play set was dim and image too fuzzy to be worth the while. I'll see if I can dig up a link for you tho
Thanks Akikiki for the pointer to the older thread. I want to add these puddle lights to my car (I have the PUP) in a plug & play reversible way with the clips (and hopefully without taking off the door panel, too). I'm assuming that I can pry out the existing puddle light and unplug the...
Many collision places send wheels here in Walnut Creek:
Rite-Way Wire & Wheel Specialists - Walnut Creek, CA
I had my 21s repair there once. Doesn't look like much from the storefront, but they do quality work.
