I'm saddened that so far the only answer I've gotten from tesla was to be added to their mailing list and sent spam material.... If anyone has a dealer visit scheduled would you mind asking if the receiver adapter piece can be purchased separately? And how much it would cost?

That's my guess but then maybe we can buy some with your help :) But I bet it will be priced with some crazy figure. Something like the entire tow package is 550$ but just the reciever adapter on it's own is 450$.

That's why I need the 2" reciever. The Ball mount I use is very phallic and that leads to you know debauchery on the highway. So I got this thing.

Fyi if it helps spread cross information us VW owners instead of a receiver we use a swan neck attachment. Same mounting system from Bosal

Sorry guys I don't mean to intrude but doing some research. I've read on here that the model X comes with a bosal hitch and that the towing kit comes with the bosal 2" reciever adapter? As seen here: Is that True? Does anyone have the part number for this adapter and/Or the entire towing...
