As an active outdoorsy type, the bolded section describes me. On interstates, I can pretty much count on there being a gas station every 30 miles or so, eliminating any need for planning. Even on the often remote roads I drive, I can expect any decent-sized town to have at least one gas...

If they are to replace ICEs they'll ultimately have to have that, because that describes the ubiquity of gas stations, e.g. on Google maps searching for say "gas stations near Kanab, UT" brings up the following: Google Maps Similar results can be found for just about any wide spot in the road.

My thanks to gjunky for the map (btw, Torrey and Panguitch or Carmel Junction were missed). One in Chinle to open up Canyon de Chelly would be nice too, as would Durango (E. Gateway to Mesa Verde, and connector to Montrose etc.). I got a million of 'em;)

Just thought I'd note that Laramie has never been officially open at any time, despite its first reported use over a month ago. Tesla has gotten pretty good at quickly showing the SCs are open on the nav and SC maps unless there's a problem, so I tend to consider an 'open' listing at...

Having spent far too many years holding a flashlight in my mouth to keep my hands free for work, I recommend a headlamp instead of a flashlight, LED preferred. Any REI will have a selection.
