Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

I suspect the Model X vertical weight constraint comes from hitch set up. On the X the hitch receiver is an accessory that attaches vertically into the car. On the Y the receiver is more traditionally mounted directly unto the frame.

Order from Dealer or Directly from Tesla (in NJ)

The process is technically the same with or without going to a physical location but if you go to a location you could get assigned an Advisor. This should happen automatically if you go for a test drive but if you don’t I think you can request that you get an Advisor. They could be helpful if...

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

Thanks. Only 4 bikes here but heard it could get pretty tight on 4-bike rack with 4 bikes.

Tesla Model Y Long Range vs AWD

If you ordered non-performance (i.e. AWD Long Range) Model Y today you would get 316 miles of range.

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

    That's really helpful. Is that a 4-bike or a 5-bike Yakima?

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

    Is that the Yakima swingaway?

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

Thanks everyone. Seems like putting more than 2 bikes might be ify although there are some people like aix93 that feel comfortable exceeding the stated limited. I would probably put myself in the more conservative camp and at the same time not sure about installing a new hitch or changing my...

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for the hitch and the install (if you did not install yourself)?

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

    Thanks. It's a 2" hitch receiver.

Is a 4-bike rack for Model X doable?

I have a '19 X with the hitch receiver that came in a separate case. I am now looking to get a bike rack that can transport 2 adult and 2 kids' bikes and won't give me issues at a supercharger. The hitch receiver per the User Manual can only handle 120 lbs. Considering that the bikes are 25-30...

For NJ residents: don't forget $5k rebate

I will venture to say no based on the description of MSRP condition. Specifically it's MSRP "set by the manufacturer". So don't think dealership discounts can bring the MSRP below $55k. But Tesla does not have traditional dealerships so not 100% sure.

Delivery Support Specialist: a black hole

Don't have a Y ordered but have experiences with buying a 3 and an X. Buying a 3 (my first Tesla) was a nightmare in part because I was anxious trying to get the car right before the 1/1/19 tax credit dip. My delivery date got canceled twice and both times I was getting runarounds if I was lucky...

Test drove PUP MY in Princeton NJ.. Loved It

Have a Model X and Model 3 (both non-performance). Got to test drive MY PUP and it was great. Drives like a 3 (sporty) with utility of an X. Also even with the 21" wheels the ride was not as bad as I expected.. not that much worse than my Raven X. Will eventually trade in my 2019 X when trade in...

For NJ residents: don't forget $5k rebate

My understanding is that as of now you will have to put in an application to get the $5K. At some point in 2020 the state will shift the program to Point of Sale, meaning you will get the rebate at the point of purchase. Per website (link here), the post-purchase rebate application process will...
