Where are you in CA? I would like to see the car.

Can't decide between P3D or Model S, halp!

For me, it is the S. I need to be able to carry three golf buddies and their equipment. The 3 is a hassle when you are trying to get four bags of clubs in the trunk. You have to take your woods/metals out of the bag(s) and position them just right. If I was only doing this once in a great while...

I get similar service from the Palm Springs service center:)

New supercharging Nav method is BS

A lot depends on how you want to travel. If you want to get from point A to point B as fast as possible, extra short stops will save you time. I like to drive all the way to between 10 and 15 percent, then stop for a meal. Then continue to my destination. I am older so I tend to limit my daily...

    Real Driving Range

There has been a lot of posts about actual driving range of a Tesla(any model). I recently had to take a 134 mile round trip on the spur of the moment. I hadn't charged overnight so I only had 144 miles of range. I took off knowing I would probably have to stop somewhere to get a quick bit of...

    Recalibrating the battery

After all was said and done, Tesla replaced my battery this past spring. My "new" battery gets about 225 miles at 90%. Not as good as when it was new, but much better than the battery that was replaced.

    Refurbished Batteries

Hello all, In the end I got a battery that charges to ~225 miles at 90%. I haven't charged to 100% yet but am assuming that 100% would be around ~245 miles (works out to 247.5 if you do the math). Was hoping for a bit more miles, but it sure beats the 200ish I was getting at 100% before the...

    Cream Interior, Oak Paneling

I had a Volvo C70(Hard top convertible) with cream interior and blond, open pore wood trim. It wasn't my first choice, but I bought the car used and it had everything else I wanted. It grew on me, and now it's my favorite Tesla trim combo.

Where are the high mileage Teslas?

I guess i'm just a newbe with only 108,000 miles on my 2014 S P85. It had 55,000 miles on it when I bought it in Oct. of 2017.

My thoughts on the MCU1 failure debacle and the outcome for Tesla

I have a 2014 P85 with 106,000 miles, my MCU1 failed at the end of June. My car is still able to drive normally(without some creature comforts). They gave me the option to have the MCU1 replaced at no cost or I can upgrade to a MCU2 for $2500. Very reasonable choices in my opinion. The only bad...

2014 P85 for sale, Still has some Warranty

One last Try! My 2014 P85 is still for sale. Look on the first page for pics and details. Although my car currently has 105.161 miles on it, it is still in fabulous condition inside and out. Here are some new (and not-so-new) details: Drive unit was replaced at ~71,000 miles(no issues since)...

2014 P85 for sale, Still has some Warranty

I rarely charge to 100%, but right now my car sits at 168 miles/65%. That works out to about 258 miles at 100%.

2014 P85 for sale, Still has some Warranty

I forgot to mention that my battery was replaced on 3/12/2020. I've driven about 1700 miles since the replacement. 285 Wh/mile since the replacement so you can see I don't drive the car very hard.

2014 P85 for sale, Still has some Warranty

Hello everyone, I am making one last effort to sell my P85 to get into something newer. Nothing has changed on the car since the first posting except the miles. Currently miles stand at 104,022. New asking price of $30,000. Anyone willing to come close, make me an offer.
