Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

I'm thinking about trading my 2018 M3 LR for a new M3 LR under this one-time deal. But just texted with Tesla agent who said HW4 is "only confirmed on Model S and X", and the 4680 battery configuration is "only confirmed on the Model Y AWD". I'm tempted to believe this wording allows the...

12V Battery Just Died - Total battery failure

I had Tesla Mobile Service replace mine in my garage. Unfortunately I had to pay $129 (~ 56k miles on the car, close to 2 years old). I had them do it because I had to travel and needed it done when I got back. The guy told my wife that Tesla discourages owners from doing it themselves because...

    Model 3 FSD Upgrade pricing

Just checked my App - I can upgrade my 2018 M3 from EAP to FSD for $3k until July 1st. Very tempting, to provide some computational breathing room via the new computer. Hmmm.

Software Update Available.. connect to WiFi

A subsequent sw update successfully loaded, and all issues were resolved.

Software Update Available.. connect to WiFi

Exact same issue here, and tried the same things you did. Also, cannot pair with another phone for media/calls anymore. I have a service appointment set up in a few days.

    Windshield noise reduction kit

I heard that this kit is effective, but I'm worried that the gaps are there for thermal expansion of the glass, and that filling in the gap could cause the glass to crack on a hot day. Thermal expansion is a very powerful force.

    Deep Blue Metallic Waiting Room

How do you determine when the car was built? Sorry if that question has already been answered a thousand times.

    Deep Blue Metallic Waiting Room

I'm now scheduled for delivery of my DBM AWD non-P, Sept 19th in Texas. Surprised that the VIN is down at 647XX.

Your posts definitely have me concerned. Sorry this has been so difficult for you and so many others here.

    Texas Hold Up!

Since a co-worker told me he has a Delivery Advisor assigned (for his Performance model), I called to check status this afternoon and was told that I now have a Delivery Advisor as well - Jarret Mark. They told me I should hear from him within about 2 weeks. I'm assigned for pickup at the...

116MPGe has me on the fence, thinking of RWD now

Has anyone compared insurance costs between RWD and AWD? I wonder if there's enough difference there to offset the additional charging. I plan to check with a couple agencies, but may not get an answer without VINs to compare.

116MPGe has me on the fence, thinking of RWD now

What did that do to your delivery schedule, and were you charged a fee to make the change?

    RWD vs AWD

Hoping that since Elon tweeted that benefit (seems like it was mentioned on the Configuration page as well) that there's a way to disengage the failed motor. I also hope they just never fail.

    RWD vs AWD

Torque sleep works for an induction motor but not as well (or at all?) with a permanent magnet motor. Both motors in a Dual Motor Model S are induction motors. Only the front one in a Model 3 is induction, the rear is a switched reluctance permanent magnet. That's why torque sleep will not be as...

    RWD vs AWD

Have seen conflicting opinions on tire wear. There's an argument for less tire wear with AWD, but would like to hear actual comparative experience from S owners.
