Speed sign recognition too good :-(

Yeah, the issue I'm seeing is it reading the wrong signs but correctly. The main problem seems to be where there's a sign (usually 20 or 30) right at the junction for a side street off a main road. The car reads that as applying to the main road not the side street. It then seems to stubbornly...

Speed sign recognition too good :-(

I'm seeing this problem of reading the speed signs from side roads constantly. The in-car HUD seems to be displaying the wrong speed limit more than the right one since this update. Wish I could just turn speed sign reading off.

    Squeaky M3 Brakes

I tried to book a service for this but was told I had to demonstrate the problem at the service centre, which was never going to happen as the squeaking only ever occurs as I’m setting off. I asked about this on TOGUK and the consensus there is that it’s a known problem from lack of use of the...

    Home Charging Stations

I paid a flat £400 for installation. The engineer had to come back a second time due to problems. I think any time when you're paying a flat fee rather than hourly there's going to be some cushion for the tricky jobs and repeat visits. Also I was using the supplier's preferred engineer, who...

    Home Charging Stations

I was going based on this post - #13 - and the discussion around it in that thread. As I didn't order the Tesla charger in the end I never looked in to it in detail and you may well be better informed, just thought I'd link where I got the idea from.

    Home Charging Stations

The Tesla unit uses a more expensive type of RCD than most/all other charger designs in the UK, and doesn't qualify for the OLEV grant so you miss out on that saving too. I'm a happy Andersen A2 customer. To my knowledge it's the only tethered charger with built in cable storage. As it's on the...

    Tyre pressures

I had the same problem today with a Ring compressor, which then went dead and stopped working completely. I then drove to the garage and filled up there instead. TPMS warning light hasn't gone off yet but hopefully will on next drive.

    Model 3 SR+ - Hidden costs?

As an SR+ user of ~10 weeks now I've found that the two problems I've had have been a) trips away for several days, and b) days out. As @VanillaAir_UK says, if you're away for days and staying somewhere you can't charge this will become a problem. We've done two cottage holidays since getting...

    Jeda & Customs

Yeah I've had to pay customs charges for goods from the US & Canada before, it's fairly normal. This one just seems to have dropped in to a black hole though where Parcel Force are saying they don't know anything until it's back in their hands. Just curious really whether I've been particularly...

    Jeda & Customs

Anyone had any luck getting the Jeda USB hub? Mine has apparently been at customs for three weeks now with no signs of movement :(

    Upgrade to Premium Connectivity?

So far, no. Equally, as far as I've heard it's not running out and requiring renewal yet for AWD owners.

    Alternative to Andersen EV Charger

Yeah the Tesla unit is clearly designed to handle being installed outdoors (we have several at work), but the tethered cable with no storage is something that people may not want on the front of their house. If I had a garage I’d probably have gone with Tesla just for the button, but as it is...

    Alternative to Andersen EV Charger

Agree - the Andersen is the only charger I’ve seen that has a built in cable tidy, and that’s why I went with them (as it will be installed and used outdoors).

    Main Fuse/Power Upgrade 80amp?, 100amp?, Confused.

As in finding time to drive 500 miles you mean? As the long term owners keep warning me there's a million ways to send your Wh/mi through the roof though. Lots of stop start with heavy acceleration in sub-zero temps with the AC on 24 should do it ;)

Vendor I am considering making UK/RHD Model 3 carpets/floor mats. Interested?

Ordered two weeks ago, get back to packing and shipping man :p
