Tesla Model X Acceleration Set To Chill Mode Mode May Be Restored On Next Drive

Assuming you are referring to my post, ANY interaction with a Tesla touchscreen while moving is more dangerous than holding a cell phone. Tesla’s UI is a death trap! I made the measurements without holding or touching the phone while the car was in motion and 63 mph is sufficient to get the...

Tesla Model X Acceleration Set To Chill Mode Mode May Be Restored On Next Drive

Mine hasn’t indicated anything but it suddenly slowed way down. Using the STATS app for Tesla I measure a 0 - 60 time of 8.3 seconds! It feels like it too. My Model 3 SR+ blows the X away from a stop light and on. I should try activating Chill and see what happens.

Anyone try Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II tires?

I put these on my 2021 X after about 3500 miles on the foam Conti’s. The set of Conti’s were very noisy and rather harsh riding. I liked them on my previous X with the standard suspension. The Scorpion Verde Plus II tire is a major improvement over the stock tires in almost every way. They...

Tesla Model 3: Three Year Review – Driving, Charging, and Battery Status (Part 2)

    It doesn’t help much even if you are nice to the battery. I lost 6% in 20 months in a 2019 X and I’m down 4% @ 8k, 8 months. My 2021 3 SR+ is down 3% in 3k miles and about 7 months. I also has a 2012 S and a 2015 S_D. 65,000 miles on the two combined in 6 years and I only lost 6% total...

Model 3 LR for LONG daily commute?

In a word NO! Assuming you charge to 90% and leave 10% margin you now have 282. If you drive at 60 mph or above you can expect at best, 85% of rated which puts you near 240miles. Using Auto Pilot will further reduce things if you're driving in traffic most of the way. The self steering hunts...

Class Action Suit for Battery Degradation

Thank you. I will research the stuff mentioned and see if i can put something together. I have several OBDII thingies and one of them is wireless. I don't remember if bluetooth or WiFi. I will start snooping around.

Class Action Suit for Battery Degradation

I don't know. How would I go about measuring that. I have been using a program called Stats that logs into my car and does all of the math for me. It always agrees with the final charge numbers from the car. As I said, I realize that loss is a part of batteries. I am just pissed at the 6%...

Class Action Suit for Battery Degradation

It is about time! I have had 3 Tesla's over 7 years. The first two were S85 and S85D. Total of 65000 miles over 6 years. Each and both of them lost 1% of battery capacity per year or about 10k - 12k miles. My 2019 Model X has lost over 6 % capacity in the first year/12,000 miles. Tesla...

    What's your 90%?

247 new, 244 at 5000 miles. I regularly charge to 90%. I have only done 100% twice. I also don't run it down very far. 90 miles left is as low as I have ever done.

How Satisfied Are You With Autopilot?

Autopilot tries to exit at every right lane exit opportunity (SoCal)

In my humble opinion, the steering system is not safe at speeds of 65 mph or more on SoCal freeways. I spent most of the day testing things in non rush hour traffic and the car was unable to dependably follow gentle curves in the road is speed increases. It tends to drift to the outside around...
