Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Agree that Tesla is very well positioned, we deviate in opinion also because i don't believe in a the winner takes it all scenario. My calculator fails with those high numbers :-P Do think the scale of the transition we are facing is underestimated by many. Good for stakeholders in Tesla and...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm no financial wizard and am grateful for that. But think you are right that their business model hasn't proved itself yet by the test of time. As most scale-ups they burn money for scaling up. But why make a difference between being partly funded by car sales (Tesla / Ionity); Oil money (New...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Thought about that too. Concluded that the networks are mostly complementary and that no single network can on it's own handle the avalanche of BEV coming to our roads. Subscription models only make sense for a customer if that person is expected to charge frequently at a given network.

    Shorting Oil, Hedging Tesla

Then consider rewriting a wikipedia page: Environmental impact of the petroleum industry - Wikipedia For sure any geologist seems to be better at mental time travel then simple minded me. But is geology the best and only discipline within earth science for assessing impacts on ecosystems?

Could it be feasible that with the ATM offering Tesla sold shares at price levels that would otherwise be nice for some participants to sell short at?

    Tesla BEV Competition Developments

Some people want everything. Think the willingness to pay is also dependent on the reason for wanting a higher range. Obviously the filling pattern of a fuel tank is different then the charging pattern of a battery. Both in location, time needed and the amount of partial filling compared to a...

    Tesla BEV Competition Developments

Single data point: Traded in the Leaf for a Peugeot e-208 yesterday. Expectations what a car should or shouldn't be able to do vary for each person or household. I think it a good and practical set of wheels for the European roads.

    Coronavirus

Yeah, it's research in progress. I didn't dive deep enough into the matter to know whats true and what not. After reading the 3% my impression was that on this side of the pond going for herd immunity through natural infection as a strategy shouldn't be a feasible option. Seems to me too much...

    Coronavirus

Bloodbank tests in the Netherlands indicate around 3% have some anti-bodies for COVID-19. For 18-20 years old around 3.6% and then slightly decreasing with age. Seems there are unknowns with regard to immunity. But at least it's an indication for exposure to COVID-19 among the population.

    Coronavirus

Apparently if you wipe out all bats then people in the west might get more obese: What would happen if bats went extinct? It is conceivable that if the entire bat population was wiped of the earth decades ago COVID-19 would not be among humans now. But I wouldn't consider bats as the ultimate...

    Brexit

Oh yeah... That trade thing slipped my mind. Guess that could be sorted out one way or the other. When the people thing and the border thing and the other forgotten things are sorted out as well. But maybe better not to buy the Gouda cheese. In general I don't consider dutch animal farming good...

In the Netherlands blood donations are being tested to get some insight in that matter: https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2020-03-19/dutch-test-blood-donations-for-unseen-coronavirus-spread
