Tesla automatically notified of Supercharger faults

Haha! No I didn’t :D good catch. Everyone is pulling their weight these days... But yeah I agree, they can’t possibly know of every single fault. And for the ones they do, they don’t always act with haste...

Tesla automatically notified of Supercharger faults

I had experienced an issue at a supercharger and used the website’s support form to let them know. I received this response back. Apparently the Superchargers will automatically notify Tesla of an issue or fault. Did anyone else know this? I’ve reporting charging issues by emailing them for a...

Cross Country trip - things to consider?

I can’t comment on the cross-border travel or feature availability (I wouldn’t think there would be any differences) but I checked out the Supercharger map and it looks like there are at least 10 Supercharger stations in the downtown Toronto area alone, with plenty between there and Chicago. You...

Tesla service center no loaner Tesla anymore?

I agree, it would be much cheaper and more efficient for the company. I have a LR Model 3 but would love to have a SR Model 3 over any gas car. The loaner they gave me last week was a 90D Model S with only 10,000 miles on it!!

Tesla service center no loaner Tesla anymore?

I’ve been to the service center 3 times, first 2 were rentals, and I got a loaner Model S for the first time yesterday (North Carolina). It’s probably state or service center-specific.

Geico Ramps Up Model 3 Collision Premium

WOW! Can you ask your local agency WHY it went up so aggressively? I have Geico, I’m 24, and have had 2 accidents in the past 3 years (one at fault), yet my premium went DOWN when I renewed mine a few months ago. Yet, your new Collision premium is higher than mine is currently (with a $500 ded)...

    Automatic Car Washes

My local self-wash car wash (the ones with the strip of car ports with nozzles that contain pre-soak, soap, high-pressure water, etc.) also has a touchless automatic car wash attached to it ($8-$10-$12 depending on how 'premium' you want to go). To take care of the bug splats and other problem...

( LDA ) will save lives.

Yeah I was talking about overpowering the correction. As long as you have a firm grip on the steering wheel. Is it ideal? Not at all, especially if you don't anticipate it happening. And I agree, Tesla shouldn't force you to have to turn off ELDA every trip. My main point was really that it...

( LDA ) will save lives.

    But you can override LDA.

( LDA ) will save lives.

Did you read your owners manual? Because Tesla’s AEB feature does operate as long as the vehicle travels over 7mph (and below 90). What happens under that 25mph threshold (does it stop completely?) I have no idea. But I do agree that the circumstances you mentioned (ex. pressing the accelerator)...

( LDA ) will save lives.

It WILL brake for you...but only down to 25 mph, at which it returns control to the driver. It will also only work (to my knowledge) on cars or people (i.e. not for light-weight models of cars)

How does Tesla know when superchargers are not working

I definitely agree. Even those marked with “Reduced Service” doesn’t tell you in any way how service is reduced. It isn’t a solution, but if you don’t have the PlugShare app on your phone, I definitely recommend it. People share and post updates on Superchargers and all kinds of other EV...

    Model 3 Replacement Wiper Blades

I would love to know first hand if any of these work. My past searches on replacement blades seemed to turn up empty, but I got mine at the service center. Both blades cost $23 each (they try to charge you $20 in labor costs to put them on...lol no...)

How does Tesla know when superchargers are not working

Interesting! I’ve never heard of a follow up to a bug report submission from the car. Some have implied that those aren’t actively monitored. I have read various sources providing [email protected] as a location to send them too. That, or call the number on the station. Or submit a...

    Lost my AP after 2019.16.2

Cruise control not available EAP Missing after 2019.16.2 Could be related to USB, Sentry, and/or computer overheating based on different suggestions. When this happened, mine returned after a deep sleep, which I don’t know how to do, but basically I let it sit overnight plugged in. I don’t...
