Extension cord with mobile charger using 240v 14-30

I made a 14-30 25' extension cord from Dryer Buddy to my portable charger. Used 10 gauge wire, and have had no issues.

    Accident in Tesla S....any advice??

My Wife dented the right passenger door and rocker panel when pulling into our carport. I took it to five independent shops for an estimate and none of them would work on the car. They all referred me to the authorized Tesla body shop in the area. $2400 dollars later the car looks perfect...

Does anyone charge using an extension cord from their dryer plug?

I have had this exact setup for 1 1/2 years with absolutely no issues. Highly recommend!

How to charge Model S at home?

I use my mobile connector for at home charging. Use a Dryer Buddy to share my dryer outlet 30 amp connection (14-30 adaptor). I've also charged on a 50 amp circuit (14-50 adaptor). Both are adequate. You will need to get the proper adapter from the Tesla Store. Have your electrician...

Legacy Manufactures Are Missing The Boat

I recently had to take my Ford F250 (that tows my 12,000 pound fifth wheel) to a Ford dealer due to a major transmission fluid leak. It was only 45 miles from home, but I didn't want to take a chance on ruining the transmission. To make a long story short, we rented a car to get home. Next...

Small dent on 2018 Model 3 leads to a totaled status by insurance

My wife cut our driveway too close and scraped and dented the front lower corner on the right rear door. Also scraped the plastic rocker panel. I called 5 body shops, and they all referred me to the local "Tesla Authorized" body shop. Nobody else would work on it. I'll be picking my car up...

    Donut spare

I've got the Modern Spare and jack/toolkit. Carry it 99% of the time, just take it out when doing a Costco run. When (not if) I get a flat, I can change it in 15 minutes. Beats waiting an hour or more for a Ranger to come to me.

Does anyone charge using an extension cord from their dryer plug?

I have a Dryer Buddy with a 25 foot extension cord to the portable charger. Haven't had any issues or heat at the connections. Been using it for 11 months.

    Curb rash

Google "wheel repair near me". Most are mobile and come to you. You can also check with car dealers. They all have wheel repair guys come to their lot and repair wheels on used cars. I used to own a wheel repair shop until I sold it and retired.

Flat tires - Fix yourself vs Roadside Assistance?

Mine did not need a spacer. Only certain models and wheel sizes require a spacer. The person at Modern Spare would know if you need a spacer.

Flat tires - Fix yourself vs Roadside Assistance?

Its a PITA, but I carry a Modern Spare and their toolkit. Slime, air pimp and plugs do you no good if you have a sidewall puncture. I can have my Tire changed before roadside service is even dispatched.
