If I recall, the original deal was getting those benefits until 2017 and they extended them until 2019. The talk was that as long as you had an EV they would continue to extend it. Obviously it was no guarantee but that was what I was hearing. Obviously there are a lot more EV cars on the road...

I just liked the textile look better so I got them. Helped they were cheaper. But I recently found out the leather does have an extra pouch on the drivers side. That would be nice to have since storage space is limited.
