Yes … if one is a power user of Apple products (not the same as a fan boy) AND one “works” out of their car AND you have used  CarPlay for any period of time THEN it quickly becomes a requirement. LOL The expense is ~ $200 and it’s not really a lot of effort (once you have the parts list)...
