I agree with what MarsOrBust said. My wife is in the market for a Y (after driving around my M3P-). We're still two years out, but I'm keeping my eye on QA issues for when we make the decision between new or used.

Just so we're adding data points to this thread, as I believe the OP has moved on with his/her life. Illinois - 30' run from the basement to garage. NEMA 14-50 Permit was $150 All in - $1045.
