No idea why you thought I had ruffled feathers or was uptight, but this thread is for discussion of the Supercharger location in question. There's not very many people watching this thread due to that scope. You'd get a lot more info and feedback if you made a post in the Model Y subforum.

IMO, if you can't charge at home you should reconsider a Tesla. In this area, it's .32 to .37 per KWH at superchargers, and less than half that to charge at home. That said, this isn't the thread for that kind of discussion. That's a better topic for the general discussion subforums.

Florida Power and Light is putting a number of CCS chargers in the area, too. That might be what's going in there instead of a Supercharger. They have them under construction in Destin and FWB that I know of.

Gulf Breeze sat for several weeks before being brought online, IIRC. A lot of it seems to depend on the local power company, contractors, and getting the needed transformer(s).

D'oh, I missed the meter box when I was there earlier.

This is a first, plugging up almost seemed to be detected as a L2 charger but the session didn't start. I don't remember seeing this behavior at the Gulf Breeze location before it went live. The charging screen came up automatically, and when my door was closed I had the "ready to charge"...

Unfortunately, my 3 was one of the COVID cars that didn't get CCS capability. It's never been anything I've needed or missed, but it would be nice to have as a backup option.

Shame it's CCS. I wonder how long FPL will take to make the switch to NACS.

So what are the odds that this one gets canceled in favor of the one going in with the new WaWa on Boesch lane? If both locations are built, they'd be less than 6 miles apart.

Well, it's on Supercharge.info now listed as PERMIT, and obviously this thread was created to match. I find it interesting that we now potentially have two Pensacola locations less than 6 miles apart. Makes me wonder if the original location by Academy and such by N Davis Highway is going to be...
