Tesla asking $300 for a repair estimate (ran over road debris)

It's not applied to the repairs in the case of Service Centers that are not specifically designated as Collision Centers. The aeroshield price is similar to your invoice of ~$200, but the $300 inspection fee would be on top. The service rep explained this was to funnel folks to authorized body...

Tesla asking $300 for a repair estimate (ran over road debris)

I asked Tesla Service Support and they mentioned the $300 nonrefundable diagnostic fee was exclusive to Service Centers that are not designated as "Collision Centers." He mentioned that usually for collision repair folks go through an authorized repair facility or a Tesla-owned Collision Center...

Tesla asking $300 for a repair estimate (ran over road debris)

A few nights ago someone dropped a full tire (no wheel) on the US-101 SB and I ran over it with the left-hand side of my car at around 65. The car continues to drive fine with only rips in the aeroshield and no real observable other damage (knock-on-wood), including brief looking-over the...

FS: 2 Tesla Model 3 19" Sport Wheels (SF Bay Area)

Hi there, I'm selling a set of 2 Tesla Model 3 19" Sport Wheels (2018-2020 edition) without tires or TPMS, both with fairly significant curb rash and scuffing. I recently replaced this pair with new wheels, and don't really have the space for them. See images for a better idea of condition...

    Expiring miles on June 30

Did Tesla jump the gun on expiring these miles? I had around 900 left and was planning to use about 100 today, but they no longer show up in my loot box. I’d figured they’d at least give us until the end of the day but I guess not.

Buying used Tesla process through Tesla

I'm not sure how accurate they are, but usually used inventory cars have dozens of pictures covering the exterior condition which can be somewhat reassuring compared to a long-distance "new" purchase.

How long to get registration card - California

While I echo your sentiments, the poverty-guideline-based caps are unique to the increased rebate amount (i.e. $4,500 instead of $2,500). The caps for the base $2,500 rebate are $150/204/300k for single/HOH/joint filers respectively.

    Used inventory on Tesla site

One point that seems to be overlooked is that IIRC used inventory purchases also waive the $1,200 destination & doc fee (plus associated taxes). In reality it's more like saving close to ~$1,500 vs. a new car (also factoring in for sales tax on the difference vs. the new MSRP).

MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

Wow, is that actually legal? I can understand if the adjuster(s) are still finalizing details but if the claim is negotiated I can't imagine waitlisting/repair-deferment to be permissible by any reasonable consumer protection laws.

    Vancouver Model 3 Pickup Issues...

So it does sound like you expected them to proactively offer to fix the issues, despite Tesla being obviously underinvested on the service front. I am certain you would have gotten those issues fixed if you had just asked (and not necessarily firmly) instead of just being passive-aggressive or...

    Vancouver Model 3 Pickup Issues...

The difference is in being active and passive, though if as you're suggesting they actually refused to fix them (as opposed to them not offering, and your assuming they would not fix) then that is ridiculous of them given how easy the issues you mentioned would be to fix. You can't really be...

    Vancouver Model 3 Pickup Issues...

That doesn't really address the question as to whether you had asked for the issues to be fixed. It sounds like you expected them to proactively offer to fix the issues. If you read threads on the pickup/delivery process you will realize that with Tesla the onus is on the customer to demand...

11 issues on new car - Tesla SC quotes almost $700 to fix 7 of them?

I'd push for a response from your SA as my SC associate specifically asked me whether anyone at Tesla told me (in writing I think) that the issues would be covered -- she made it sound like a big deal. It's fine if the service center appointment is outside the 7-day window if you created the...

11 issues on new car - Tesla SC quotes almost $700 to fix 7 of them?

I went to the Santa Clara SC but only because it was nearby/convenient for me. I saw a customer there have a pretty tough conversation with the employees there where I think they refused to fix his issues under warranty as they were "within spec". The gentleman had mentioned he had a really good...

11 issues on new car - Tesla SC quotes almost $700 to fix 7 of them?

Do not e-sign the bill before your appointment. When you visit the SC for your appointment you will typically need this to get classified as "due bill" work. If you reported these within a very short time of delivery (~72 hours?) you should be covered. If not, you might have to convince them...
