    Model S REST API

Oh no! I played adventure many times while I was at Cal. Were you there too? I graduated in '81. The Veritable Bugeater

    Parcel Shelf

Got my parcel shelf today. I'm certain it didn't cost the $250 they charge for it. And they likely made more than a 25% profit on it. For $250 I was expecting it to match my Nappa leaher seats at least!

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

Yea, my Android app was dead yesterday too. It worked fine in the evening.

Had an Accident.... (Collision work for Model S)

Actually I see it differently. A saying I saw once on the under beam of a flat bed auto wrecker, "High performance cars + low performance drivers = <insert photo of a crushed cube of a car>"!

    Model S creep

Great! I hadn't heard anything about the Hill Hugger feature before. But then I haven't read ALL the Model S blog threads...

    Model S creep

I see this thread has gone stale for a while since the creep or no creep setting was introduced. However, I would like to propose a third setting for creep. I would like to see a hill hugger setting. I really like "no creep". But on those occasions when I am at a stop with a noticeable upward...

Water condensation in tail light trim?

We've had this problem a few times. When we picked up the car in Dec. it was raining and we quickly noticed the condensation. We took it to the service center and they replaced the seals. They said this was happening on many cars. Then it didn't rain for several weeks. When it rained again...

Why did you buy your Model S?

I had an Olds Aurora. Great car but it was getting old. We had been watching Tesla for several years. We live close to their office. I told my husband, Bugeater, that if they came out with a sedan for around 50K I wanted one. I liked the idea of an all electric car. Shortly after that we...

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

My Samsung phone version 2.3.6 Gingerbread, has frequent issues connecting to the car. If I exit out of the app using the back "looped arrow" button it works fine the next time. If I exit out of the app using the home button it just spins. When that happens if I just exit out with the back...

Have you received your parcel shelf?

My wife's, "HoneyBug", Model S didn't come with the parcel shelf either. We got delivery of her car in Dec. Just got the HPWC yesterday! We found out that you can get the little "net" for the frunk. It hooks on the four pegs just in front of the small part of the frunk just ahead of the...

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

Lots of waiting. But I was really excited to come home yesterday to find the HPWC for my wife's Model S had been delivered! Now I just have to get Solar City to install my new 200amp service and the new HPWC. I called Solar City this morning to tell them I got the HPWC. They said they would...

    First experience with a Ranger

When my firmware was at version 4.1 it started telling me that the 12v battery needed service. (No, never had it become non drivable. Then when I tried to update to version 4.2 of the firmware it said I couldn't becase the 12v battery needed better charge. That was on a Saturday. I called...

Recreating the NY Times Road Trip - Feb 15-17, 2013

My wife "HoneyBug" and I also thank all the drivers and followers who have gone way out of their way this weekend to prove to the NYT that the Broder article was "faked". We're hoping we can participate in some sort of show of Tesla Model S amperage here in California. Elon, George, we've all...

    Alternative Energy Powered

Here is my wife on Dec 15 2012 when we first arrived home after picking up her Model S at the Tesla factory. We have 25 panels for 4.6kW. Obviously on this day we were not getting much from the panels. In the winter we are consuming more than we are generating. In the summer we are generating...
