Headlight doesn't shut down during power-off & no left signal!

Yes. Open a request with mobile service and ask them to check that the headlight controllers took/didn't take the latest software. That was exactly my issue. A re-push of the software and install fixed it.

Headlight doesn't shut down during power-off & no left signal!

This made me laugh because I've had two BMWs that have done that. LOL

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

I guess I should have added as far as the MCU and new hardware, like others have stated, it's night vs day the difference. Definitely worth the $1500 (or $2000). Now I really want to get FSD. Just gotta hold out until it's a subscription based service (currently have EAP, so I have most of...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

Got my car upgraded and I wish I could say it was seamless, but alas, it was not. BTW, if you are in Colorado, I honestly can say stay away from the Superior Service Center. I've had so many problems with them. To be fair, they DO take care of everything but a little QA of their own work...

Headlight doesn't shut down during power-off & no left signal!

I actually opened up a request with Tesla. They told me my car did not take the most recent update (specifically the headlight controller) and they re-pushed the update and asked me to reinstall. Did so and the issue went away. This makes three times now that 2021.4.10.1 has been installed to...

Headlight doesn't shut down during power-off & no left signal!

I just had the same thing happen to me! I had my car in for MCU2 upgrade and they said I could upgrade to the latest firmware available (2021.4.10.1) and I went out to check on it and the left headlight was on. Left blinker also doesn't work.

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

I contacted my SC about it and they said they would indeed honor the 1500 price point as I had already scheduled it prior to the price change.

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

So i have a quote/estimate for 1500USD for the upgrade on 3/23. What are the chances they try to change the pricing on me?

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

Tesla contacted me about my MCU2 upgrade on 3/23 of this month, confirming they will upgrade my HW from 2.0 to 3.0 included in the purchase. After taxes the total is 1629.53, which includes a line item "Additional items for Infotainment Upgrade" with a value of 0.00, which I can only assume is...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

So I put a call into my service center. I am told that the 1500 MCU2 upgrade DOES include 3.0 HW upgrades for 2.x Model S/X. He read me the information directly from their internal documents (internal because I asked him to email it to me and he said he couldn't because it was internal)...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

Sorry for maybe repeating the same question others of had, but I kinda need it spelled out for me from those who have had it done. I have a late 2016 MS (AP2, HW2.0) with MCU1. If I pay the 1500USD to go to MCU2, does Tesla upgrade me from HW2.0 to 3.0? I currently have EAP but not FSD.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Slow start, slow response. Now with replacement eMMC it's SUPER fast. Nearly instant response, maps build out quickly, switching between icons also nearly instant. Very glad I was able to get this done.

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

Just got my Model S back from Tesla Repair (got sideswiped by a 'vette, :( ) They did the eMMC replacement and WOW my touchscreen is so much more responsive now. It's hard to believe it's an MCU1.

Battery Replacement Nightmare. Would like input!

Update: Should be getting my car back today. I asked the service manager what happens to the damaged battery and was told, to my surprise, Tesla gets to keep it. I said that's surprising and I'd think I'd get to own it (since it's MY car) or the insurance company would get it (since they paid...

Battery Replacement Nightmare. Would like input!

Update: Insurance company is going to cover the repair so I will pay my deductible (collision, as many of you stated correctly). The sad part is Tesla called me and said they were delivered a 90Kwh battery and not a 75Kwh battery...So another two weeks minimum of waiting... :-(
