That very loud and painful "clunk"

Has it been determined that none of the A-packs can charge a over 90kwh and all B-packs can charge at 120kwh?

That very loud and painful "clunk"

Forgive me for being clueless, but how does one determine which generation (A,B,C,D) battery our car has? I checked out the wiki battery table, and my VIN is somewhere in between the A and Bs.

More than 1 year owners--Dash Rattles evolving?

I too get the whine at very low power use when previously it used to only happen when I floored it. Legally, of course.

WTB: Set of 19" Stock Wheels

Seattle area would be preferable. Shipping is also acceptable.

Good Place to buy rims in Seattle?

Are the TSW Nurburgring rated for Model S? How would I figure that out? Man, I'm a noob.

Good Place to buy rims in Seattle?

Really? Why? Are Volk and BBS better than TSW?

Good Place to buy rims in Seattle?

Hey, mods, sorry about the off-color joke. That was a misguided attempt at humor, and I did not mean to offend anyone or to make your jobs harder. The quote I received last year was, in fact, given in mid-September. I should have bought them then! Today, the quote that was emailed came out...

Good Place to buy rims in Seattle?

Actually, I was intentionally trying to be raunchy and funny. I'm kind of disappointed that the mods are busy little elves today.

Good Place to buy rims in Seattle?

Can anyone recommend a good place in the Seattle area to buy rims? I just got off the phone with the local service center who informed me that standard 19" rims are now $500 each. Is it me or is that kind of crazy? That's almost twice the quote I got about six months ago when I was told they...

Driving to Mt. Baker WA ski area?

Thanks, ChadS, for your help! I should have mentioned that normally conditions are pretty dry most of the way to Snoqualmie, but on the roof rack day it was raining terribly on the way there and back. Surely that must have affected the rolling resistance, but an almost 50% penalty still seems...

Driving to Mt. Baker WA ski area?

We would have a single set of skis on top. For reference, for our usual 120-mile round trip to Snoqualmie West ski area, we start out with about 215 miles and end up with 65 miles at the end of the day. However, when we had the rack and skis on top, we just made it home with 8 miles to spare...

Driving to Mt. Baker WA ski area?

Has anyone tried driving to the Mt. Baker Ski Area (in WA)? It seems to be only 1.5 hours and 65 miles from the supercharger in Burlington, but I wonder whether we would be pushing our luck with a roof rack, 3500 ft elevation, and cold weather. Does anyone know if there is charging available on...

HELP! - I Need Financing for my S

I remember that a year ago, you were self-employed and making $40K. Do you think this may have something to do with your inability to get financing?

    Extended vs. regular Leather

For what it's worth, I thought the dash was real leather this whole time. I'm with Studiojon; skip it and save some bucks or get another option that will make a bigger difference.

Tire Totes (covers) Now Available at Tesla Gear

Is that the sort of longevity one can expect from any winter tires, regardless of brand and quality? I'm torn as to which winter tires to get. Seattle winters tend to be mild, but we drive up to the mountains to ski every week for about 12-16 weeks each year. It's about 120 miles round trip...
